I traveled alone and really just needed to sleep before the morning departure by boat to Bamfield, so for the first time in my life, I stayed in a dormitory. For 43 dollars, it more than served its purpose. But I chose this hostel mainly because it is also a cultural facility that was converted from a church. Its location near the harbor and its place in the local Art District make this place also unique. But its biggest charm is added by the owners who decided that the house they live in will also be a place of meeting and culture. I attended one concert and it was a really pleasant experience. Not only because of the music but also from meeting the owners, really kind and inspirative people. Otherwise, the hostel is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Parking right in front of the building. I liked Port Alberni, so I will return here with my family. We will definitely be happy to stay at Chars Landing.

Squamish Adventure Inn ligger bara en kort bit från Squamishs aktiviteter, äventyr och spänning. Very well organised facility. I stayed in a hotel-style double room with ensuite, and it was excellent. I also used the communal kitchen and dining area, and chatted with the many friendly hostel guests and staff. I was skiing in Whistler most days, and able to walk 10 minutes on the path beside the inlet up to the Adventure Centre and back to catch the SkyLynx shuttle bus that operates from Vancouver to Squamish to Whistler. This worked out much better value than staying in Whistler. The same path is a 10 minute walk into downtown Squamish in the other direction, to supermarkets, restaurants and other stores. All in all, this was an excellent stay.

C&N Backpackers boasts views of Ucluelet Inlet. The hostel has a spacious garden offering firepit, BBQ, lots of outdoor seating and a trail that runs down to the waterfront. Great atmosphere, excellent staff. Really comfy space, LOVED the outdoor area.

Storey's Beach ligger 2 minuters promenad från detta vandrarhem i Port Hardy. Här finns både sovsalar och privata rum med delat badrum. Här finns även en uteplats. Gratis WiFi ingår. It’s clean and great value with good facilities for cooking. It’s super central for everything in Port Hardy.

Located 13.2 km from downtown, UBC's Okanagan Campus offers free WiFi. spotlessly clean, great location, great amenities a very friendly staff ( who I thought were students studying at the university)

THE ORCHARD (HOSTEL WITH PRIVATE BUNKS) ligger i Radium Hot Springs och erbjuder boende med gemensam lounge, terrass och tennisbana samt gratis WiFi i alla utrymmen. After traveling around BC/Alberta for a month this is for sure the best hostel I've stayed at. Reminds of similar concepts in Asia/Europe. This had a very cool layout though which also accommodated couples in their own capsule if they so wish. Very tidy, nice little kitchen with everything we needed to cook breakfast/lunch and a super friendly owner to top it all off! No doubt of where we would stay if we pass through this cool little town again.

Bethlehem Centre ligger i Nanaimo, 5,7 km från Nanaimo Museum, och erbjuder boende med en trädgård, gratis privat parkering, en gemensam lounge och en terrass. It was quiet and clean, a very nice break from the usual chaos of staying away from home.
