This hostel is situated in the heart of Golden city centre, 30 minutes’ drive from Yoho National Park and 57 km from Glacier National Park. Storage for bikes and skis is available. Location was absolutely spot on for me. Couple pubs and a brewery nearby. Shuttle stop very close by. Could not fault the location.

Offering mountain bike storage and an on-site bike shop, this restored heritage hostel is located in Cumberland, on Vancouver Island. It is 35 km from the biking trails at Mount Washington. Relaxed and friendly environment. Clean and well-organised.

Set in Port Alberni, Char's Landing Hostel features a shared lounge. There is a sun terrace and guests can make use of free WiFi and free private parking. I traveled alone and really just needed to sleep before the morning departure by boat to Bamfield, so for the first time in my life, I stayed in a dormitory. For 43 dollars, it more than served its purpose. But I chose this hostel mainly because it is also a cultural facility that was converted from a church. Its location near the harbor and its place in the local Art District make this place also unique. But its biggest charm is added by the owners who decided that the house they live in will also be a place of meeting and culture. I attended one concert and it was a really pleasant experience. Not only because of the music but also from meeting the owners, really kind and inspirative people. Otherwise, the hostel is well equipped, clean, and comfortable. Parking right in front of the building. I liked Port Alberni, so I will return here with my family. We will definitely be happy to stay at Chars Landing.

The Squamish Adventure Inn hostel places guests only moments away from Squamish’s activities, adventure, and excitement. Very well organised facility. I stayed in a hotel-style double room with ensuite, and it was excellent. I also used the communal kitchen and dining area, and chatted with the many friendly hostel guests and staff. I was skiing in Whistler most days, and able to walk 10 minutes on the path beside the inlet up to the Adventure Centre and back to catch the SkyLynx shuttle bus that operates from Vancouver to Squamish to Whistler. This worked out much better value than staying in Whistler. The same path is a 10 minute walk into downtown Squamish in the other direction, to supermarkets, restaurants and other stores. All in all, this was an excellent stay.

Located in beautiful British Columbia CANADA, The Dancing Bear Inn Hostel is located near restaurants, cafes, walks and a waterfall. Great location, clean hostel, wonderful staff!

C&N Backpackers boasts views of Ucluelet Inlet. The hostel has a spacious garden offering firepit, BBQ, lots of outdoor seating and a trail that runs down to the waterfront. I loved the location in the middle of the forrest. You could walk out to the river and experience the wilderness, it was beautiful. The best thing was how lovely the owner was. Andy is a super nice guy and I could not have asked for a better host. I would 100% recommend this place on him alone, let alone how homely and pretty the hostel was.

Storey’s Beach is a 2 minute walk from this hostel in Port Hardy. Dorm and private rooms are available and have shared bathroom facilities. An outdoor patio is enjoyed. Free WiFi is included. It’s clean and great value with good facilities for cooking. It’s super central for everything in Port Hardy.

Located 13.2 km from downtown, UBC's Okanagan Campus offers free WiFi. spotlessly clean, great location, great amenities a very friendly staff ( who I thought were students studying at the university)

Located in Radium Hot Springs, THE ORCHARD (HOSTEL WITH PRIVATE BUNKS) features a shared lounge, terrace, tennis court, and free WiFi throughout the property. After traveling around BC/Alberta for a month this is for sure the best hostel I've stayed at. Reminds of similar concepts in Asia/Europe. This had a very cool layout though which also accommodated couples in their own capsule if they so wish. Very tidy, nice little kitchen with everything we needed to cook breakfast/lunch and a super friendly owner to top it all off! No doubt of where we would stay if we pass through this cool little town again.

Located in Nanaimo, 5.7 km from Nanaimo Museum, Bethlehem Centre provides accommodation with a garden, free private parking, a shared lounge and a terrace. It was quiet and clean, a very nice break from the usual chaos of staying away from home.
