This hostel seems brand new with newly tiled showers and private bathrooms. The showers are very hot. The kitchen is large and set up perfectly for self-service and lots of space for storing your own food. The lounge areas are a popular place to sit quietly or visit with other guests. I was pleasantly surprised to meet all age ranges including quite a few retired people like myself. People from all over the country who were very interesting. I would be happy to LIVE HERE FULL TIME. I arrived late from Tijuana airport at 3 AM. The receptionist was so nice with me and gave me something to eat. I woke up after breakfast had finished, but the housekeeper, Yolanda, fixed me a nice breakfast and coffee. The art work and decor both inside and outside is amazing. Photos don't do it justice. I will return here on my next visit.

I thoroughly enjoyed every aspect of the hostel. Without a doubt, it is not just one of the best, but unequivocally the best hostel I've encountered in my 20 years of travel experiences. The gentleman at the reception was exceptionally professional and friendly. Regrettably, I forgot to inquire about his name, but I do recall he hails from Argentina. The bed curtains and lockers ensured a 100% sense of privacy. Fortunately, my roommates were incredibly quiet during my two-night stay—no snoring or disturbances. I managed to sleep a solid 16 hours on my first night after a grueling 15-hour flight. Thanks to the hostel for providing such a conducive environment for a restful stay. One of the remarkable features was the balance between socializing and privacy. You could easily connect with someone if you felt like it, yet maintain your solitude when not in the mood for socializing. For those seeking interaction, the common area was perfect, and for those feeling weary, the pods offered a cozy retreat. A grocery store conveniently located just around the corner proved to be a blessing. This meant that even if you needed to purchase something after dark, there was no need to venture into the downtown area, ensuring your safety. The well-equipped kitchen catered to all the needs of a traveler. Overall, I have a deep appreciation for this hostel. I would undoubtedly return if I find myself in San Diego again.

The room was clean, neat, and has everything that I need. It was very close to the restrooms. I had breakfast during my stay at this hostel and the variety was enough for me. For some afternoons, I used kitchen supplies. As I used kitchen different days and times, I can say that it was kept clean for their guests. I especially appreciated the Hi San Diego Downtown Hostel staffs' behaviors. They were helpful and attentive to all my questions. I belive if I ever visit San Diego again, I 'll stay at this hostel.

Tot és perfecte. Les habitacions són grans, amples, tenen lockers enormes per a cada llit i estan super netes. Els llençols també estan impecables, els llits són còmodes i a més a més tenen una cortineta per evitar que molesti la llum o tenir una mica més de privacitat. Les instal•lacions comunes també son genials. Una piscina petita per poder relaxar-se, la zona de sofàs i chill amb Netflix, instruments musicals, jocs de taula… Només he estat una nit, però la cuina està impecable i és ample per la quantitat de gent que hi ha allotjada. Em va salvar que al balcó hi haguessin estenedors per poder deixar assecar la roba a fora. El personal és molt amable, suggereix activitats, ajuda en tot moment en cas de tenir algun problema.
