A wonderful family resort in the east of the alps. Great for beginners. Lots of blue & red runs. Great night time sledging. Loads of restaurants on the mountains with very friendly service. Big portions but not cheap but then ahow me a skiing resort that is. Much cheaper than france and Switzerland and italy.

Ski area consist of 4 hills to 1.800m, so everyone can find the slope which is fitting to him. On the hills, there was a pretty lot of restaurants or bars. There was a free parking place to leave a care in and drive with the lift directly to the entrance. When parking outside, you can put your skies on and by the snow go directly to the entrance to buy a tickets. Parking place was on asphalt so no dirt. The Schladming city is small but you can find there a restaurant for a quick dinner.

One of the most beautiful hotels I stayed in. The beauty of the hotel and the wonderful view of the mountain. The room number was 54, a studio with a balcony. It had all the necessary equipment for cooking in addition to all the kitchen utensils., They were very kind and helpful in everything. You need tourist places and attractions. Mainly stayed for bike parks and they have one of the best systems so you don't overheat in the gondola, love it, very kind, would always recommend! Schladming is a quaint little town with scenic views from everywhere. The town centre has nice bars spread out everywhere. However everything closes in this town by 5:30PM max and there may not be much night life to offer.

Right next to the cable car that can take you to the top and you get a complimentary Sommercard if you travel between May and November (check the official website for more details) if you book any hotel in this area. The rooms were spacious and we had booked 2 rooms, they gave us connecting rooms which was even more fun for the kids. The grocery store is also right under the hotel so that was very convenient. We had rooms facing the main street and rather noisy apres ski was a bit disturbing and we could not leave our windows open. I assume that this is not an issue with rooms on the other side. Not cheap but gut value for money. The staff was really helpful and profession (excellent English appreciated). Fantastic breakfast.

Perfect place if you are going to Schladming to ski and you like comfort and strategic location. We go the smallest apartment on the ground floor but it came with heated floors, a super well-equipped kitchen, two massive TVs, and a great view that helped us wake up early and enjoy our stay there. Oh and we good a parking spot in the building as well as a closed ski locker.

The location of the apartment is great - 9 minutes by car to Planai, 13 minutes to Reiteralm. The apartment is very clean, cozy. The beds are comfortable. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped with everything you need, the dishwasher was very handy. After skiing, a nice bonus was the use of the sauna. I recommend it! And if we come back to Schladming, it will be here.

Plenty of space for a family of four. Ski-in via a 40-50m track off the main piste. Ski-out via a walk back up the same track. It's a 20-25 minute walk down the hill into Schladming (or the ski bus also stops just outside the apartment). We enjoyed two excellent meals in Ristorante Amalfi and Steakhouse Friesacher.

Very big bonus is indoor pool and sauna. After skiing day in Planai (or Hauser-Kaibling) that provided good relaxation. Skibus stops right in front of the main entrace. We've not used that ourselves, but that is again very good thing.
