We had a wonderful experience at Casa do Santo for our 2 night stay. Maria was very hospitable, helpful, and knowledgable. The views of the Douro valley are beautiful. The small, quaint village is a quick drive to the Douro river with amazing views of the hillside vineyards. Breakfast was delicious. We will definitely stay here again when we return to this area.

La terrazza affacciata tra le meravigliose vigne del Douro una location affascinantissima! Torneremo sicuramente per un nuovo soggiorno in uno dei posti più romantici in cui mi sono sentita a casa! We were on our way from Northern Portugal to Madrid Spain, and found this place on the way. So that was a considered as a place for an overnight only. The owner was very welcoming, need to use google translate, as Portuguese is the only language... She also runs a small cafe shop, just across the street. There is a large swimming pool - it was too cold for us, but if you arrive in hot days, it looks great.
