It offers a great variety of interesting activities and wide range of accomodation. I will surely repeat the visit and spend a day or two in different locations to explore the area more. I was able to see giraffes and other game.

Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay.
Misty Hills Country Hotel is a wonderful place to stay. The thatched-roof bungalos are spaceous with lovely interior décor and furniture, and are laid out along many winding brick paths in a lush tropical setting with flowers, shrubs, and trees, some with botanical labels on them. Along the paths are many splendid African art carvings, statues, small flowing brooks, ponds, and beautiful scenic views. The grounds have been meticulously planned and laid out, as have the rooms and buildings on the many acres in this resort. Each room, dining area, meeting room, and the reception area are adorned with African art—sculptures, paintings, and historic artefacts/memorabilia, with windows that look out in to the tropical gardens and trees. The service is first class. The accompanying huge breakfast buffet has dozens of choices of fresh fruit, warm and cold meats, special dishes, cheeses, cereals, and pastries, with several people ready to cook any personal preference you have, as well as table service in the large dining hall with its African motif surrounding you. Of course, the world-renowned Carnivore restaurant is on the Misty Hills grounds and is a real treat for those who enjoy a meal of game in a festive setting with meat delivered to your table on large skewers. There is also a nice dining room with a good lunch and dinner menu adjacent to the reception area. In every way, this hotel is great and a wonderful experience; we’re from Canada and have returned every time we’re in the Johannesburg area.

The scenery is lovely and so was breakfast- although no cappuccino. I feel they deliberately did not include pictures of the bathroom as had I known it was a shower over the bath, I would not have stayed there.

I enjoyed my weekend , my partner took me to the best places and we had fun with activities that we did. It was easy to get around and we just felt that we need more time to finish off the activities that we did not do, so definitely coming back to finish off what we started.
Nothing went well. The room had spider webs all over and the bed had red worms and termites all around. We didn't stay for even 2 hours and checked out instantly. The staff wasn't supportive and didn't provide any solution for the same. They just started showing the non-refundable policy of the hotel. I was really looking forward to staying here and hence, I booked it for two days. We didn't get the refund still we checked out without thinking of money as health is more important
Breakfast is a great spread - there's practically everything on the buffet.
Rooms - rustic and comfortable. Very clean white linen, a fireplace and an outdoor shower (my personal favourite!). There were robes and slippers in the wardrobe - which was lovely.
Surroundings are magnificent - I doubt there's any other establishment that looks like Kloofzicht Lodge & Spa in the Muldersdrift/Cradle of Humankind area. It is simply beautiful!
Staff are generally helpful and warm
It was a truly beautiful country hotel to spend my 80th at. Staff were excellent & so friendly. Breakfast an example to other hospitality groups that include breakfast as this was an exceptional breakfast with happy, friendly staff.
I highly recommend this beautiful spot & will definately organize us Sassy Girls group to book in the future a weekend away
The welcoming when we arrived was very friendly and Bev took us through every room.
The view was spectacular and there is so much to do in the surrounding area. She was very helpful regarding service and all the rooms were very neat and had everything you need and more regarding self catering accommodation.
Will definitely recommend to others!!!
Staff is very friendly. It's a beautiful place to go to get away for the weekend. Generally very clean. Many different cute and sweet activities to do. Excellent spa! (I do wish that the very talented therapists there were using their time more constructively.) Definitely a place to visit in the summer with all the fantastic swimming areas.
Everything. The place was equipped with everything you would need in self catering environment. You can either cook for yourself or order in from restaurant menu.
Breakfast was fresh.
The garden out of this world and is also the place is a nursery, so you can buy plants for yourself to take with.
The hotel is outdated with old furniture and no telephone and no in-room service. The staff are not trained at all and it seems the owners have hired cheap Zimbabwean labour. Poor services and staff communication.
We arrived late and was greeted by the host that gave us a upgrade on our room. Supplied us with enough wood for the cold joburg night. The whole area is just wonderful and relaxing. Definitely stay again.
The staff was really friendly and pleasant. I liked the Restaurants as well as the spa. And i got a few great photos. If i go there again, i wouldn't stay over but just visit the restaurants and spa.
Great breakfast on weekdays when it's not so busy. Fireplace in the room is a nice touch and it's close to other attractions in Muldersdrift. The property arranged a free cot as requested.
Risa House far exceeded our expectations. I piece of heaven in the middle of muldersdrift. We will definitely book in when we visit family again! Perhaps for a little longer next time!
The hotel was absolutely lovely. We stayed in the most beautiful room. The highlight was definitely Sonja who managed our stay and who made some of the best scones we've ever had.
This is a beautiful place, the staff were amazing the are always willing to help. A great quiet getaway from the buzzing Johannesburg. beautiful venue for functions too.
We loved everything about the hotel. The location the service the staff were always happy and kind, there was things to do and keep us busy. It was a great experience
The rooms were spacious and extremely comfortable. The kids loved the play area and the breakfast was exeptional. The staff were all friendly and welcoming.
