Great location and friendly staff. Breakfast was awesome and staff very friendly. Needed help with my car hire and staff were very quick to assist and help with allowing us to use their phone.
This Arizona hotel is 10 minutes' drive from the entrance of Grand Canyon National Park. This hotel offers 4 on-site restaurants.

When you have only two nights at the facility, and all your time is spent at the Grand Canyon, each minute in the resort is precious. We loved the buffet breakfast options and the staff. Lovely. The room was very comfortable.

Tusayan offers a reasonable alternative to the usurious prices Xanterra is asking to stay on the South Rim of the canyon. The town itself seems to have been built last week and there's nothing to do there after 8:30 pm. Having said that, the town does offer the most vegetarian friendly steakhouse imaginable (yes, looking at you Yippie-Ti-Yay) and a few other restaurants that are not national chains as well as a post office that . . . functions, tho the postmistress is not a very polite representative of the federal government.

The staff does not speak my language and there are some offers that they offered me but they did not tell me that Mondays did not apply. They did not know how to tell me where the entrance or the attractions for the Grand Canyon were, I would have liked information for any day of the week to be available . The place is pleasant, it is cold, the landscapes are very beautiful.

If you have problems with slow drains, apparent black mold and/or unreliable heating unit get after management to change rooms immediately! Housekeeping were pleasant and worked hard. Front desk staff can be indifferent.

Tusayan is a cute, one-main-street town just south of the south entrance to the south rim of the Grand Canyon. People are very friendly here and Tusayan offers hotels/motels, restaurants, nice souvenir shopping, a homemade fudge/ice cream shop (that stays open later for those with a sweet tooth!), gas station, and bus stops with free shuttles that take you into the Grand Canyon area. As well, several Grand Canyon tour companies pick up in Tusayan. We really enjoyed our stay there! Just beware, the elk can get really close to/onto the roadway in the evenings. We were greeted by a small group of them very near to the first roundabout coming into Tusayan proper when driving in from the Camp Verde area. We enjoyed our meal at the Foodie Club - fresh ingredients/cool breakfast place with some other tasty stuff on the menu. And enjoyed the homemade fudge (lots of flavors available, they'll give you a sample to try a few if you can't decide) at Grand Canyon Chocolate Factory in Tusayan. We also loved the wide variety and pricing of souvenirs at the Grand Canyon Trading Post in Tusayan.

The location was great for proximity to the National Park and surrounding trails. Food and cocktails were convenient and great quality. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Couldn't have asked for better, and for a great price.

I liked that Tusayan was only about 6 miles from the Canyon.
I liked that Tusayan was only about 6 miles from the Canyon. We drove to the park at 7 AM and had breakfast at the El Tovar hotel in the park. No waiting to enter the park, and only a short wait for breakfast (with a window view of the canyon).
The town felt safe and was very quiet at night.
The staff was so friendly and welcoming in the hotel and bar. I had forgotten my uk plug adapter and they managed to find me a spare. They answered all the questions we had and check in was easy. The hotel was lovely and suited our needs perfectly. We enjoyed having a drink on the balcony watching the sunset and was glad we upgraded to this room. Even tho it was -18 through the night our room was very warm and comfortable. We used the jacuzzi and and found this a nice touch. This hotel made our trip to the grand canyon even more special.
Great place to stay overnight when visiting Grand Canyon Village - south rim. Cozy apartment, comfy bed, kind staff. Restaurants and groceries nearby. Shuttle to GC Village available too. Less than 10 minutes by car from Grand Canyon Village. Fine breakfast and whirlpool available :)
We paid through the nose to get close to Grand Canyon, but I guess that is the norm. Comfortable if plain hotel, breakfast staff were super friendly. If you are on a budget, watch out for food prices at the restaurants around Tusayan.
Excellent location, in close proximity to the Grand Canyon National Park. Excellent, well kept facilities and helpful staff.
Good food options either within the hotel or within a short distance away.
Great location in Tusayan, walkable to restaurants and shops. Easy drive into the park entrance. The staff go above and beyond. Super friendly. They practically serve you breakfast at the buffet.
Overall not bad, but very overpriced due to age and condition of hotel.
Main advantage was proximity to Grand Canyon which is the only reason they manage to demand such high prices.
Really liked the main hotel. Restaurants and bars. Great atmosphere. If we had it to do again we would have stayed in the hotel, however, we had dogs with us so chose studio.
Rooms were large and comfortable. Walking distance to restaurants (Tusayan is very small so very walkable). Breakfast was not included, but the prices were very reasonable
Only 2 miles from the entrance to Grand Canyon National Park. We were able to get a discounted rate to upgrade to this property instead of staying at Holiday Inn Express.
This hotel was in a great location to get to the Grand Canyon. We only slept here, we arrived late and left early. We did not use any of the facilities or eat breakfast.
The location is very close to Grand Canyon NP. Food options are available in and outside the hotel. Decent sized bathroom. Room has two sinks. Cute indoor balcony.
After a big day at the Grand Canyon the hot tub was amazing - particularly as it was snowing at the time. The restaurant was good as well as the hotel's bar.
