Beautiful and friendly town. We went the week leading up to Memorial Day and it was a great time because the crowds were low. Took a trolley tour with Viking and the guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. He said cruise boats come in September and it gets very crowded. Parking can be a pain and is expensive. Lots of great seafood places to eat. Went to Mystic, CT one day. Can easily do everything in Newport in 2 days. Some of the mansions didn't open until June 2nd, but we saw The Breakers, Marble House and Rosecliff. Highly recommend getting dinner reservations a couple of weeks early (White Horse Tavern, The Mooring, Brick and Alley Pub). Ate at the Newport Lobster Shake and watched the fisherman bring in their catch of the day. Also recommend Anthoy's Seafood in Middletown.

The trolly tour was fantastic and Rob gave us several tips.
The trolly tour was fantastic and Rob gave us several tips. Enjoyed visiting the Breaker Mansion, the cliff walk, Easton Beach. Celebrated our Anniversary dinner at the White Horse Tavern and had an amazing meal! Lots of shops and food places on Thames St near where we stayed at the Harborside Inn. Some places are hard to park so better to walk if possible. Overall great 3 day visit to Newport!

The cutest small town any time of year.
The cutest small town any time of year. I've been in the summer when people fill the beaches and streets, and I've been in the winter when the buildings are decorated with lights and everyone hangs ornaments on a Christmas tree on the beach. Lots of places to walk and explore both along the water and inland, many historical and beautiful buildings to tour, vineyards and beaches to spend your time, and wonderful places to stay.

We loved it all, but especially the Red Parrot and Moorings where we had great food. Ma's Donuts on the outskirts of the town was excellent too, if no good for the waistline. Travel in town is easy out of season. We walked a lot and when driving easily found parking for free.

Unfortunately, I reached the hotel on night of September 23rd whereas my booking Thro Booking.com was from September 24th
The hotel charged almost USD 1000 for one night, which I felt was terrible
Hotel was not full and charging more than double than per night rate of Booking.com left us with bad experience
The outdoor space was nice, the bedroom needed another chair, breakfast was delicious but we are sorely disappointed in the “new” look.
When this location was still the Adele Turner we loved the original charm and ambience. It feels more clinical now and we don’t understand why corporations buy these beautiful historic homes and rip out all the charm. The best part about Serenity Inn was our hostess Zamantha. She was very personable and helpful with suggestions of places to go around Newport. She’s your best asset here.
You can't beat the location - a quiet, charming residential street just 1 block from the main street. Very quiet and you hardly knew anyone else was staying there. It was almost like having a private house to yourself. Everything recently renovated incl. the bathrooms. Well-decorated and very comfy beds. Linens and towels were very nice and above standard hotel grade. Lovely living room/lounge if you needed extra space. Staff returned messages promptly.
Great location and adorable French-themed hotel. Very comfortable room included table and chairs, with tableware including wine glasses. Breakfast was delivered to the room each morning, with yogurt parfaits and irresistible warm pastries. Carmen at the front desk took the time to give us detailed directions to the must-see's of Newport. Great parking, considering it's in the heart of the city on Thames Street.
The Viking made my family feel welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The warm welcome from the valet team was a nice start. We traveled with our puppy and the hotel staff could not have been more friendly to him. The rooms, lobby area, coffee bar, and amazing indoor pool area really added to our experience in Newport. We will definitely stay there again!
We absolutely loved the location, being so close to all the restaurants, shops and the whole downtown experience, being so close to the water as well. The room was very cute and modern and spacious, with a very comfortable bed. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone going to Newport!
This was the best priced option for a trip to Newport with my daughter. Other hotels were triple the price. The room was clean and had everything we needed. Front desk staff was super nice and helpful. It is reasonably close to Newport mansions. We were able to park right outside our door.
This was a great, boutique, hotel right next to the Newport Art Museum. We used it as a base for our stay to attend a wedding. The staff, especially, were very attentive, sending text reminders of any activities in town that might affect our parking, etc. We enjoyed it throughly.
The room was so amazingly clean and cute! The hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown with traffic, so it's super close. Lots of available parking. The staff was super helpful with any stay or Newport related questions. The breakfast was great, the pastries were delicious.
I liked the warmth of the hotel and it was quiet but close to everything. Breakfast was great! Peter was a gem, open and helpful host. I loved Newport! I honestly didn't get to see as much as the first day the weather was foggy. Got a sunny day so happy days...
Room was comfortable and very clean. Hotel was on a quiet street and walkable to restaurants and sights. Breakfast included cereal, toast, pastry, hard boiled eggs and very good coffee. Nice rooftop seating area.
This is a wonderful oasis within walking distance to the main Newport attractions. Very comfortable and great outdoor space to enjoy either in the morning or late afternoon before heading out for the evening.
Luxury experience with meager off-season rates makes blending into Newport for a week in winter an annual event: two baths and two bedrooms at hotel room rates.
