Carvoeiro was excellent, smaller and quieter than some of the other towns and still had more restaurants than you can visit in a week and they all were excellent. Easy walk to multiple beaches and lots of exploring to do with the Seven Hanging Valleys trail so close. No need for a car everything was a short walk. Carvoeiro Tours was an excellent boat tour of the caves that picked us up right on the beach. Boneca Bar in the Algar Seco was just a fantastic lunch stop after the tour for drinks and more exploring.

We were there in November, weather was rainy and windy the first day, but sunny and 65 the second day. This is a hard town to get to from Seville, so we ended up hiring a driver to take us from Seville to Faro where we rented a car and drove to Carvoeiro. Lovely little town. We ate at O Cantinho and A Gale, both traditional Portuguese restaurants that I would highly recommend. Great boardwalk along the cliffs above the ocean. Easy to walk around, hilly, but that did not bother us. Pretty short drive to Praha Marinha where we hiked the the seven hanging valleys trail. All in all, a great spot for exploring the Algarve. I would very much like to go back here.

We have been to this area before and like it’s proximity to the town, you can walk there is 30 mins, Carvoeira, also there are supermarkets cafes and restaurants nearby, some of the later you can walk to. There are several interesting towns nearby such as Alvor and Silves and beautiful boardwalks at Alvor and Salgados plus the lovely walk at beach at Pria do Vale de Centeanes.
Favourite place to eat for us have been O Algar at Benagil, La Bella Vita, Primavera plus Organic or Earth for breakfast/ brunch and Decadente for coffee snacks and drinks in the evening.

Went in early October and weather was perfect with wall to wall sunshine and temperatures in the 20s. Carvoeiro is a nice mix of buzz and good restaurants and pubs with a busy beach. Surrounding villages, beaches and cliff walks are stunning.
The best place we've stayed in at Carvaeiro and possibly Portugal. The staff were extremely nice and helpful with everything we wanted. They allowed us to check in early and also leave our baggage after checkout for later pickup. They had some great suggestions to do around the area as well.
The place is advertised in the images and description. The view out the balcony was great and everything in the house exuded a level of luxury, professionalism and thoughtfulness. The cleaning staff were also extremely nice and helpful!
The location was 10/10, absolutely stunning. You could walk along the cliff trails to meet up with the seven hanging valleys trail that winds around to carvoeiro. The pools were lovely, the downstairs pool was a favourite for the kids to be able to play. The rooms were huge and very comfortable. Blockout blinds and air conditioning. Definitely need a car to stay here which ended up being a positive as it meant we could explore nearby towns and beaches. The breakfast was incredible and the staff were very friendly.
Such a fantastic warm welcome from Andy, with a very generous welcome hamper of both essentials and treats.
Casa Julio is a beautiful, very spacious, and very clean apartment with really nice features (including a super balcony, an excellent kitchen, rooftop terrace and barbecue, and a really good smart TV.)
It's also in a super location, with access to downtown and the praia and also the charming quieter areas of Carvoeiro - absolutely ideal for us.
The room was spacious and airy. the air conditioning was not too loud. There was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. Tea/coffee was provided and water was left in the mini fridge. The bed was comfortable. My room had a balcony which led out to the pool but was still private. The hotel is situated within 2 minutes walk off the main centre but far enough away to avoid night time noise. The TV was a lovely addition.
Amazing deal! Villa Welwitshia is incredibly clean, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and the location is also wonderful - a short walk to many great restaurants, Carvoeiro Beach, and Algar Seco which is absolutely beautiful. Our room was spacious and clean, the free breakfast was nice, and the staff was incredibly accommodating to let us check out late as well.
The apartment was clean, attractive and a good size for 4 people. There were plenty of loungers and parasols in the pool area and the grounds were pretty and well maintained. The food served at the onsite restaurant in the evening was particularly nice. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The free shuttle bus to the centre of Carvoeiro was very useful.
The hotel is located in a villa just outside the city center of Carvoeiro. The location is really quiet, has a private parking and has very comfortable rooms. A nice breakfast was served. The villa is a five to ten minute walk from the center of Carvoeiro, which is a really beautiful place at the Algarve.
Great atmosphere, very calm place, super nice hosts and a good buffet for breakfast with fresh bread, pastries, eggs, ham and cheeses, fruit, coffee, juice and more drinks at the terrace.
Located in the middle of Algarve region, in Carvoeiro, is just perfect for our week trip!
The property is beautiful and situated a perfect location which give you an amazing of the Algarve rocky coast. The breakfast, lunch and dinner are all excellent. The staff are very friendly! This is our third stay in this hotel with 12 months period. We love it here!
Amazing little town! The hotel was close to the main beach and town center unfortunately only stayed one night. Cute and quiet little villa was everything we wanted in Carvoeiro, now I have to go back!
Great place to stay in Carvoeiro, staff, facilities, food, all excellent! A car or other means of transport is needed as it is a 25-30min walk from the centre of Carvoeiro.
Excellent stay for a few days ending our Portugal road-trip. Very nice hotel and very nice staff. Special thanks to Pedro for his excellent wine recommendations.
Absolutely everything. High class hotel by which all others a judged. It’s not just the views, rooms and fantastic food it’s the staff who go the extra mile.
