Everything went well!! Our room overlooked the ferry station which was convenient and entertaining watching people come and go, the staff was superb and the breakfasts were outstanding!! Would stay no where else if visiting again. Loved this hotel!!

The location was planning perfect. Varenna is beautiful lake town with excellent views and a perfect jumping off point for the lake. Hermes was an amazing host and wonderful person. We loved our stay and will definitely come again.

Ideal location for visiting other towns on the lake, Bellagio, Menaggio & Tremenzenno all a short distance away. Ferries are frequent & very punctual. One hour train ride into Milan, not that frequent so check the times.

Don't miss Villa Monastero! Lovely gardens walking along the lakeside and tours inside were only offered on weekends. Check hours before going. A few restaurants within walking distance of the ferry. Bar Moto has spectacular views from the water.

Easy walk about town.
Easy walk about town. Wear good walking shoes steps are steep and not always a handrail. Beautiful gardens and scenery. Easy hop on a ferry to go to the other towns. Hike up to the castle is 30 min. I would have felt more comfortable with a walking stick. Make sure to have water.

Picturesque and just charming. Loved the waterfront, walking on the bridge, flowers, vibe and restaurants on the water. Ferry efficient and pleasant, easy to access other towns. Apartment, bed, linens and temperature were very comfortable. Couch and high-back chair seem old and could use an updating soon. Happy to have a kitchen and a kitchen table and chairs. We paid €12 for a small bottle of wine offered in the apartment. Nice breakfast included in our stay. We loved our time in Varenna and ferrying over to Bellagio. Thank you, Albergo Milano!!!

Very close to the town parking garage and the two garden villas as well. Bags can be left at reception until check-in time, and there's an elevator. Breakfast was very good, with eggs on request, and lovely smiley staff.
