Lovely clean city. Facilities for visitors were excellent.
Lovely clean city. Facilities for visitors were excellent. Some lovely excursions and activities.. a walking tour is a must and also we did a sunset boat trip which was amazing. The people were incredibly friendly and helpful everywhere we went. Nice food....pricy in the old town but good quality and worth the money because of ambiance etc.
In May 2024, when we were there, it was very busy but not mobbed and the weather was perfect. Tour guides described June, July and August as crazy because of the heat, the crowds and the passengers from the cruise ships which overwhelm the city. Dubrovnik has a population of about 42,000 people and more than 3 million visitors . However there are great efforts being made to maintain Dubrovnik as a 'place' and not a 'product'. I'd highly recommend a visit in the low season.
Be warned....lots of steps in the old town.....I counted 130 to get from the road down to the old town main street. So bionic knees are a must!!!!

I loved going into Old Town - make sure you walk around the wall! Be warned - food and souvenirs are not that cheap, so plan accordingly. Buza Beach is also popular, as is doing a cruise. Lokrum island is popular. You can get ice-cream for 2.50 euros, so don’t get conned into spending more than that.

Dubrovnik has been on my bucketlist for 2 decades, and it did not disappoint. I'm glad I visited in early June - it was already quite busy - I can't imagine how crowded it gets in July & August. I highly recommend staying in the Old Town, if that's what you're coming for. It was nice to have a quiet retreat, and to be able to enjoy the quieter early morning time.

Very expensive for tourists to go experience & enjoy all the beautiful history of Dubrovnik. There is no need for a car as you can grab an Uber within Minutes from anywhere in Dubrovnik. The town is very small & only require a long weekend to experience it all.
Enjoy the food, walks & beautiful ocean views at Dubrovnik.

Dubrovnik is even more beautiful and interesting than I imagined. There are so many little alleys with unexpected cafes and restaurants. It is well worth getting off the main plaza and exploring a little. We took a private, guided walking tour of Old Town with Tonka, at Tours By Locals. This was an absolute highlight and well worth the price. Tonka is highly knowledgable and had many stories to share that illuminated the richness of Dubrovnik. Had we simply walked around on our own, it would have been just another ancient town, beautiful, but we would not have appreciated the history and architecture of the city. I also must mention how beautiful Dubrovnik is at night. For those on a cruise, try to spend an evening in Dubrovnik and don't rush back to your ship. It is magical, and the food is not to be missed.

The Old Town City of Dubrovnik and city walls were amazing, filled with history and views everywhere you looked as you walk the perimeter of the walls. Enjoyed walking inside the fortress on stone streets and cobblestone alleys appreciating the beauty, history and architecture. Many restaurants and shops too. Be prepared to walk and do lots of steps. Game of Thrones scene locations (if interested in that).
Truly enjoyed our stay!
Milo was the absolute best! From the ease of arranging the airport transportation to a wonderful greeting of a cool beverage, Milo was like family in an instant! The location to Old Town and the City walls was perfect for me. I could get there in a short walk. I loved and appreciated the hospitality and wonderful conversations during breakfast. The breakfast was plentiful and such a wide variety to choose from. The room was spacious and the bed was so comfy! When I come back to Dubrovnik, I will be contacting Milo!
Mali Stradun was a great accomodation for us (2 adults + 2 teenagers). Access to nearby hotel's pool was excellent, as well as the breakfast option. The environment was peaceful and we felt safe. The beach was close and it was great to go for a walk/jog in the mornings. It was very easy to get to the Old Town with the bus, although the buses were crowded. Our host Tomi was most helpful, meeting us when we arrived and arranging us the airport transportation. All in all, a lovely vacation in Dubrovnik!
The staff at this hotel were the nicest! They were so wonderful, had fantastic recommendations for food and activities, and even helped me check in to my flight when my laptop wasn't working. Thank you to Ana especially for making my stay in Dubrovnik so incredible! The rooms were large and clean, and the bed was comfortable. The location is about 20 minutes walking (or 5 minutes by bus) from the Old Town, and a 7 minute walk (but 150 stairs) from the closest beach. It was perfect!
We really enjoyed staying here. The whole experience was amazing. The room is super clean. Everything is new and high quality. Has everything you need from a nespresso, first aid kit, minifridge, smart tv etc. Offers free parking, you can take the bus to go to old town in about 7-8 mins. It is even better than a 5 star hotel. What makes it even better is the host. He was very helpful when our car broke down at 1 am. We can’t thank him enough. I wholeheartedly recommend this place.
One of the best small hotels I've ever been to: Magnificent sea views, great location (walking distance to Dubrovnik Old Town; above Bellvue Beach), superb food, free wine/water/ev charging and some sweets in the evening, incredibly friendly & helpful staff (they even prepared a list of great restaurant options outside the hotel - well, we didn't need it, but still nice!), very attentive on children's needs. Just a perfect experience. Thanks for that wonderful time.
Great location! In the old town but close to Budva gate, so you don’t have to carry your luggage all the way down the steps. This is honestly the best location if you have luggage. This was a huge plus in Dubrovnik where there are huge stairs EVERYWHERE! It’s also meant you were close to an exit gate if you wanted to get an Uber etc. comfy bed, good aircon, cute little place and the host were lovely!
Well located in heart Old town of Dubrobrovnik with all historical sights, shops, restaurants with few meters waking distance. Room is beautifully furnished, it feels like you are in boutique hotel. Very clean. Ivana hospitality was amazing, she provided transport with her car to nearby address on my leaving Dubrovnik what was a great service. She was helpful, kind and I will be back in her place.
The hotel is based at Sunset Beach which is situated a small distance from Dubrovnik centre. It's a pedestrianised area with lots of restaurants within a short walking distance which we loved. It's easy to get the bus or an uber if you want to go to the old town. The hotel also had a terrace with a view of the bay where one could enjoy breakfast.
Location was amazing, right on the beach on the Lapad Bay. Clean room, daily cleaning, helpful staff. Live music almost every evening at the hotels outdoor terrace. Fresh breakfast. Close to many restaurants, different beaches with good connection by bus to the old town. Considering prices around on the Bay, that was ok to be in Dubrovnik.
We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment looking at the sea, it was spectacular. Very friendly staff, very willing to help with our requests. Several restaurants on site, the one we ate at was delicious. Our stay was very short here but I would come back to this hotel for sure when staying in Dubrovnik if you want to be out of old town.
With 5 pools , many restaurants and the beach the hotel never seemed to be crowded although it was pretty booked. My suggestion if you like comfort and peace stay here and do a trip to the Old Town of Dubrovnik which is beautiful but super crowded. Taxi costs 20 € to town. There is also a pleasant walkway to another beach nearby.
Fabulous hotel part of Royal Hotels Group.
Located on brilliant pedestrian walkway…
Perfect for a stroll into Lapad…
Lovely staff: great room: perfect breakfast: good location ( away from hustle and bustle of Dubrovnik)
But just a 30 mins ride on no 6 bus to Old Town.
Views out to sea: amazing!
Can’t wait to return!
Staff was absolutely wonderful, 5 star service! Quick to reply to emails and inquiries, very helpful. The view is amazing and the hotel itself just lovely. It is a quick drive to the old town, cheaper to take Uber than pick up a taxi on the street. Breakfast included all you can drink diy mimosas, big plus there!
This boutique hotel is a true gem!!! We had a balcony overlooking the sea! They provided parking, it was an easy walk to the old town and city walls of Dubrovnik, and the food was AMAZING! The room was large, the bed comfortable, every detail was considered, AND…the bathroom had a soaking tub!!
The room was very clean and spacious. Hotel was well located. Easy walking distance from the ferries. The bus to the old town was very close and easy to find. Also the bus to Dubrovnik airport was at the same stop. The breakfast had a nice variety and freshly made and replenished.
The Hotel Lapad in Dubrovnik was sweet! In a fancy location near a marina, it was easy walking distance to the "old town" and the nearby neighborhoods. Was fun and we would certainly stay here again. The breakfast buffet was plentiful and there was live music four nights per week.
A bit of a hike up to get to it, but well worth it. The balcony gives you the best view in town. Amazing. Place is also quaint/nice/comfortable. Great value for being in old town Dubrovnik.
Obviously, it is no fancy 5 star-hotel but absolutely perfect for a short stay in Dubrovnik. It is small but very clean and well organized. The host is extremely friendly and welcoming!
