easyHotel Berlin Hackescher Markt, hotel in Berlin

This budget hotel with a 24-hour reception is located in the vibrant Hackescher Markt district in central Berlin. All rooms include an private bathroom.

Stayed for a night in Berlin to rest off a concert. I know I would get there late, so I contacted the hotel before and they kindly informed me (within an hour in e-mail) that I could check in at any time. It happened like that, I checked in without a problem at around 11:40 PM. They really have 24H reception, in the night they close the main door so you need to ring, but they come out immediately. The staff were very kind and informative, may you have any question they are ready to help. The free WIFI was simple to connect to, stable connection. Enough for your daily internet to-dos. The room was nice and clean, well equipped. Towels, toilet paper, soap/shampoo included. The bed was nice and comfortable. Good lightning. The hotel is located next to a very busy intersection, many bistros/cafes and restaurants within walk distance. The soundproofing of the building is awesome, you barely hear anything of the city. Right next to the hotel there is a 24H open store for snacks/drinks.

Novotel Suites Berlin City Potsdamer Platz, hotel in Berlin

This hotel is 328 feet from Anhalter Bahnhof Station in central Berlin.

It was located right by the metro and bus which made it easy to get to all the places we wanted to see in just minutes: The Brandenburgh Gate, Memorial to the Murdered Jews and Memorial to the Roma and Sinti, Jewish Museum of Berlin, Tranenpalast, DDR Museum, etc. It will be even better when the museum at the former Anhalter Banhof station - right across the road - (the departure point for many deportees to death camps during WW2) is completed next year as this will be another piece of history of interest to travellers wanting to encounter WW2 history. The location, the staff, the room was clean and comfortable! Having a bar in the hotel lobby was nice—we had a drink there one evening and met some other travellers. Having a bathroom and toilet/WC separately really helps when sharing a room with three other people! This is one of the features I love about Novotel’s design!

Berlin has a lot for everyone.

Berlin has a lot for everyone. History and monuments, nightlife and restaurants, strolls and picnics - whichever mode of passing your time you prefer, they have it there. Getting about is a breeze using the city's maginificent public transport and you'll feel safe virtually wherever you go. Besides, while traversing the city, you'll unwittingly learn a thing or two about its rich and often painful history. That's an added value.

Berlin retains a small city charm as it is broken up into very distinct districts. There are at least two of everything given it's East/West past history Even has 3 opera houses. Plenty of green parks and a public transport system that is second to none. The 7 day pass for S/Bahn, U/Bahn, buses and trams worked out at under 6 Euros per day. Staying at the Lutzowplatz Radisson we had direct access to Unter Den Linden and the Kurfurstendamm plus taxi rank outside the hotel for the trip to the main station with heavy luggage. Good traditional German restaurants are still plentiful whereas in many other German cities they are being replaced with pizzeria. More museums and art galleries than any mere mortal can visit in a month.

Very interesting city, which (obviously) has lots of history. We visited in mid/late April so - like the UK - the weather is unreliable at that time of year. It was cold and wet during our stay, but we did have some fine/sunny weather too. We visited all the main sights - the Brandenburg Gate, the Reichstag Building, East Side gallery / Berlin Wall, Museum Island, and the Memorial for the Murdered Jews of Europe. Some of these are quite close together, some are deceptively far apart! Would recommend downloading the BVG tickets app and getting a 24 hour AB ticket so you can catch a bus, tram, or train (€9.90). We made the mistake of taking a stroll through Görlitzer Park after visiting the East Side gallery - it's beautiful, with lots of people and families, but this was juxtaposed by drug dealers absolutely every where. It's the only part of the city that we felt genuinely unsafe. Ironically, that was the same day (20th April) that a 420 rally was happening near the Brandenburg Gate (a stoner pro-cannabis event) which had a very strong police presence for, but there were no police at all where weed (and much more) were being peddled very openly! We also went to the Mauerpark Flea Market which is a very pleasant way to spend a Sunday morning, especially as the weather was fine. Overall, we had a lovely time in Berlin. We ate some incredible food, saw all the iconic landmarks, and had moment of quiet reflection at the memorials. Berlin is well worth a visit and we're very glad we came, but won't be rushing back.

Delightful spacious classic building which feels completely different to most modern cramped, soulless hotels. Rooms were comfortable, breakfast wholesome, location right beside Berlin Story Bunker museum and Anhalter Station. Far enough from city centre to feel too busy but close enough to commute around with ease. Neighbourhood felt safe and there were some decent restaurants nearby. Flexible payment with card or cash which was a relief. If I was returning to Berlin I would stay here again.

The Mandala in Berlin was our absolute favorite stay of our entire 2 weeks in Germany. The room was tidy and so so so comfortable, there were days we contemplated staying in instead of going out, it was that good. Shout out to Gerson at the front desk who was incredibly helpful and pleasant and always went above and beyond to assist us. A lot of restaurants and shopping around the hotel and we truly cherished our Berlin stay at The Mandala. 100/10 would recommend!

Considering it is a 3-star hotel (which in Germany still presents a very good standard unlike in many other countries), the value for money is very good. The hotel is clean although it is old, the staff are professional and helpful, and the location is excellent.
