I love everything about this hotel. Room, breakfast, service, vibe, location.
Nestled amid the surrounding vineyards, only 4 km away from Sion, the Hôtel des Vignes benefits from the exceptionally dry and sunny climate of the central Valais.

Breakfast was plentiful and a good range. The property was a little further out of town than we thought when we booked, however after going into town we were so glad to be staying out. They offered a beautiful bar area with great service and we ate in the restaurant which delivered great food. Very nice place to stay

I'm travelling capital cities of each Swiss Canton and 2 days and a night is I think good enough to visit the city center itself. There are still more outdoor places to visit like lakes valleys mountains.
We stayed here the second time, and really like the hotel. Good location, with easy access to hiking trails in the surrounding valleys. Comfortable room with free soft drinks. Most of the staff speaks English. Air conditioner in the room helped us to survive the tropical nights of the heat wave.
Restaurant is not exciting, but OK. It stops at 21.00, but there is a possibility to get cold snacks and drinks until 23.00, which helped as a lot.
Excellent location in the old town, only 10 mins by foot from Sion train station and only a couple of minutes to shops and restaurants. The apartment is very well set up and in excellent condition. It was very clean and comfortable, and exceptionally well equipped for our stay (oven, hob, fridge/freezer and laundry facilities all in the apartment). Comfortable bed. Air-conditioning available. Great value. We would stay here again.
The place is perfectly clean, comfortable and amazing view of sorrounding Sion city.
The facilities are top notch and would given a rating above 10.
It is a perfect place to visit Switzerland if you are driving.
Thanks for a pleasant Swiss experience
Tucked away behind the park and lake, this is a real gem, especially if you wish to surf the Sion wave garden. (It’s a 5 minute walk)
The host is wonderful, the property is well-equipped, and I could not have asked for a better experience.
The staff was very friendly, the food and location were excellent and the hotel was exceptionally clean. A very pleasant surprise - given the low price,I had set my expectations low and as very pleasantly surprised.
Angela was a great host, very helpful and always available. It was in central Sion, close to everything, with the parking 2 minutes away. The room was light and spacious, and had everything we needed.
Efficient and friendly service, really easy to find and get in. Apartment was super clean and modern with a comfortable double bed in the master bedroom. View over Sion airport is pretty cool too.
A nice modern, well equiped compact compartment that has everything you need for a stay of a few days. A pleasant walk over the River Rhone into the centre of Sion and close to a supermarket.
Great hotel. Got a nice room with great views. They allowed us to store our luggage while we took our ski trip. This is the reason I chose to stay again here at the end of my trip.
The large terrace was a surprise, perfect for our dog. We actually sat, enjoyed the view and weather for a while... and that wasn't in the planning 🤭.
