This guesthouse was great! The bed was very comfortable with an extra blanket for those cold nights in the mountains. Like all of the other bathrooms we saw in Albanian guesthouses, it's on the smaller side and has no demarcation between the shower and rest of the bathroom. The included breakfast was delicious and served in their covered, outdoor eating area. There aren't any restaurants nearby, so you'll probably eat dinner here as well. That's not a problem because the à la carte dinner is fantastic. Prices were very reasonable, especially considering their competition is kilometers away. We ordered 3 veg dishes and one portion of meat and paid 9 Euro total. All of the food at breakfast and dinner is either homegrown or homemade, even the wine and vinegar! The location is outside of the town, but much closer to the beginning of the trail to Theth. It can be a little difficult to find, but their driveway is just off the main wash and there are spray painted wooden and stone markers along the way. If you get lost, locals will point you in the right direction. The family that owns the guesthouse is very friendly and hospitable. They'll even build a fire if guests want to relax outside at night.

Guesthouse Gezim Selimaj is situated in Valbonë. This apartment has a garden and free private parking. We had a very nice time in Valpona and in the guest house. The rooms are very comfortable, bright and everything was very clean. The owner's hospitality is particularly noteworthy, as she also prepared us an excellent breakfast every morning. So that we could eat in peace, she even held our little son in her arms and played with him every morning. Thank you very much for this pleasant days we had. We would love to come back in the future.
