The hotel is very nice. The hall and stairs to the room may give the wrong first impression as if it were a cheap hostel, but the room itself is excellent. The room had, everything you could possibly need. The gift of a bottle of house wine was nice. The kitchen is equipped and has breakfast in it. Although we arrived way ahead of check-in time and our room was not ready, we were allowed to leave our belongings in it and given a key card to access it. Overall we very much enjoyed everything, It was a good choice for us

Very clean and newly renovated, amazing value for money! The breakfast was served to your room which I haven’t experienced at a hotel before, but I really liked it! More hotels should offer that! Also, both the center train station and Pisa airport are a 10 min walk from the hotel. The leaning tower of Pisa is about a 35 min walk away.

Very kind and accommodating staff; the service was truly superb. The decor was so tasteful, I want to replicate it for my own house! The bed and pillows were very comfortable. The back room was perfect for my partner and me, and we slept very well even with my noise sensitivity. The bathroom was the nicest we had during our entire trip. The breakfast spread was excellent; we loved the selection of breakfast items which were delicious, and the beverage options too from tea to cappuccinos and fresh juice. We loved being so close to the tower. We would absolutely stay again!

It was priced very economically, yet was nice. The owner does not reside on-site so breakfast is do-it-yourself using high-quality packaged pastries, a refrigerator filled with juices, yogurts, etc., and a Nespresso machine. The owner and her family went the extra distance to meet me at the airport and help me lug my bike box and roller bag to the property, and also help me return to the airport the next morning (the routine appears to be that the owner arrives on site mid-morning). They were very nice and accomodating, highly recommended if you need to stay near the Pisa airport and do not need fancy accomodations. The property is a converted house and appears to consist of 3 rooms for guests, and a common room + kitchen (which guests can utilize -- including the pots & pans, etc). NOTE: It seemed that my room and at least one of the other two rooms shared a bathroom. There may also be another room with its own bathroom but I cannot confirm that.

Host was v helpful and responded quickly to any questions . Room comfortably took 3 beds. Shower was lovely good water pressure and hot water. The bathroom is outside the bedroom but is for your own self use. There is a shared kitchen with all facilities and food drinks provided as you want them. It is outside of the centre but an easy 20 min walk away.

We also walked to the Leaning Tower of Pisa from Villa Matilde in about half an hour. Room and adjoining bathroom were spotlessly clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. Staff was welcoming and friendly.

The area quiet, the villa is very nice and safe because you can use multi-key for all doors. The rooms brilliant clean and even more beautiful than in the photos. Silvia the host is amazing friendly. If you like walking you can easily get to the Tower in 30 minutes on foot too. Extremely recommend!
