Boasting a bar and views of lake, Rivalago B&B is a recently renovated bed and breakfast set in Cannobio, 18 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. The B&B, Rivalago is located on the waterfront and a moderate distance from the ferry embarcadero which I only used to arrive and depart. My room was spacious and comfortable with excellent cleaning service and a fabulous view of the lake. The B&B is in a quiet location and a short walk to the restaurants along the embarcadero. I chose Cannobio because it was considerded the prettiest town on the lake although not the most convenient for seeing gardens and palazzi. Those were easily reached by regular bus service, or boat. Gaia was very helpful in determining my connections and printing schedules for me. Commuting to the gardens was a breeze! The breakfast was fresh and varied, with more selection than I would ever have at home, which was a real treat! Both Matteo and Gaia were always available to answer questions and assist with whatever I needed. Matteo even found the program I wanted on Netflix and set it to English for me. Thank you both for making my stay so special.

Al San Michele features rooms in Stresa. This guest house offers luggage storage space and free WiFi. Everything is just wonderful in this lovely house. It's super cozy, clean and bright. Location is more than perfect just across the lake and the ferry stop and 5 mins from city center as well. The stuff is extremely kind and welcoming. Would definitely go there again. Located in Cannobio, in a historic building, 14 km from Piazza Grande Locarno, Ca Meison is a recently renovated bed and breakfast with a private beach area and free bikes. Everything was prefect. The house, the breakfast, the location, Francesca and her Mom were outstanding and nothing was too much to ask.

Providing garden views, B&B Il Poggiolo in Stresa provides accommodation and a garden. The property was built in 1900, and features air-conditioned accommodation with a terrace and free WiFi. We had a most enjoyable stay at B&B Poggiolo. Andrea and Valeria are wonderful and helpful hosts. Our suite is spacious, with a fabulous view of Lake Maggiore and the islands. The rooms are tastefully furnished; the bathroom is modern; everything is spotless. We slept very well at night as the house and surrounding area were completely quiet and peaceful. Breakfast was set up in a nice room downstairs, and the spread was lovely every morning. For dinner, there’s a highly rated restaurant within walking distance. One could also take a short drive to nearby towns or to Stresa. We had a rental electric car and used a charging station 12-minutes away on the route to A26. We went to the islands, of course, and drove around Lake Maggiore, stopping at a few towns. The whole area is beautiful.

Boasting a terrace and views of mountain, Casa Castagna 1620 is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Mergozzo, 49 km from Piazza Grande Locarno. The room, including the bathroom, was spacious and tastefully decorated. We felt welcome in this hotel and the staff was very friendly and helpful. It was relaxing to have a meal at the restaurant downstairs, especially the croissants at breakfast, while staring at the beautiful view of the lake and mountain. At the end of a long day, it was also nice to just sit at the balcony while enjoying the view.

Set in the pedestrian zone at the historical centre of Cannobio, 21 km from Lugano, Antico Borgo B&B offers a shared lounge and free WiFi. We had a lovely stay at this Air B&B. Great location. Super clean and all updated. We were on the top floor and had a nice terrace. Easy walk to shops/restaurants. Fabulous breakfast. Comfy beds and nice linens. But the BEST thing was the innkeepers. Chiara and Francesco were so friendly and helpful. A truly rare find - do stay here if you have the opportunity. You won't regret it.

DIMORA SCURONE in Cannobio provides adults-only accommodation with a garden and a bar. The property features quiet street views, and is 18 km from Golfclub Patriziale Ascona. Wonderful location, we loved the hotel and the family who run the hotel were wonderful and friendly! The breakfast was AMAZING!

Extremely kind and helpful Mrs Orsetta, the view, the house design & decor, exact description & suggestion, tasty & unique breakfast, and much more alike. For dinner, go to Cardini, you won't regret.

Featuring a garden, Cascina Canée is located in Angera in the Lombardy region, 38 km from Monastero di Torba and 44 km from Mendrisio Station. The place was exquisite! Beutiful, peacful, quiet. Serounded by green and natural beuty, with a lovely view. The place speaks of quality and attention to details. The hosts were most welcoming, warm, interesting to talk to, and extreemly helpful with whatever we asked. They are gorgeous and fine cooks, and serves home made restuarant like dinner and service - we felt like we arrived to heaven and are eating in a 5 stars place. I'm an Israrli, and my travel partner is from NYC - and we both so deeply appriciated the very special place, and felt we would like to come back and of course let our friends know about it with the highest rec omandations.
