The location was perfect right next to Unzen Jigoku and waking up to the view outside our hotel room was peaceful and prayerful. The private onsen in the room was heavenly and we took advantage of it sometimes multiple times a day. The meals (breakfast and dinner courses) were delicious and gave us a wide range of Japanese dishes. It was also nice to be able to walk down in our Japanese PJ's to relaxingly eat and gaze out the window on Unzen Jigoku. The service was very attentive. The rooms were very spacious.

This is such a wonderful place to stay. The whole place is spotlessly clean, the rooms are comfortable, the location is very good (5 mins into the centre of Unzen). The real highlight is the ladies running the place who are just delightful, so bright and kind and great - and the food! The breakfast is the best I’ve had for ages, and the dinner is even better! We had a group of 7 adults and 1 infant. We had breakfast twice and dinner once with the hotel, the food and presentation were absolutely amazing and definitely something I would recommend. The Onsen was very special, they have an outdoor and indoor option, both being very nice facilities. We booked a Japanese style rooms and Western style rooms and both were delightful. The staff were very helpful. Overall a wonderful experience.
