SALT of Palmar, Mauritius, an adult-only boutique hotel, a Member of Design Hotels is set on the white sandy beach of Palmar on the east coast of the island, 1.7 km from Belle Mare. Awesome breakfast with many vegetarian and some vegan choices. Very charming interior. Very friendly staff. Nice yoga lessons at 6am. We also liked the small gym and the book exchange. Nice beach. Daily free snorkelling and SUP.

The beach is kept prestine, the pool is perfect but the food and service is what puts this Hotel in another galaxy. The buffet dinner looks like something out of a fine dining master class. The pastries need to be preserved in a museum. Fantastic, hopefully will be visiting again soon.

Hotel was excellent, plenty of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food was delicious, and plenty of it. The staff (from chefs, to cleaners, and waiters) were amazing, could not do enough, nothing was too much trouble for them, special mentions to Marcela (Elvis) and Kavi, who went the extra mile the entire duration. All inclusive drinks list was impressive, plenty of choice, and plenty of it. Location was excellent, a little windy, but that was welcoming. Rooms cleaned every day. Would absolutely recommend this hotel for relaxing, great location and attentive holiday in Mauritius. We will be going back.
