The location of the property is excellently, very central, it’s walkable distance from the city centre and to all the main sites in Cusco. My whole stay and Hotel Golden Inca was exceptional, so much so I want to go back to Cusco someday. The rooms are super clean and very spacious. The room service is provided everyday. They do provide clean towels and change the linen everyday. I did battle with altitude sickness during the initial days. The staff at the front desk was so helpfully, they provided me with some coco leaves tea(free of charge). Yes it did help me recover and adapt to the high altitude much quicker. Apart from that they have a awesome selection of some great herbal teas. The breakfast in the morning is a buffet service. Oh! I loved it. The fruits, the cheese, juice etc…the menu. Exceptional and delicious. Muchas Gracias! Richard Castro together with Indira and Llata you all did exceed my expectation. Ahora si me quede con las ganas de regresar a Cusco. Richard and his team are awesome extremely hospitable and ever ready to help.

Just 8 minutes drive from the Velasco Astete Airport, the Sonesta Hotel Cusco is less than 1 km from the city centre. All rooms feature a mountain or city view. Everything was perfect! The cleanliness and professionalism is too good. Much more than a 5 star hotel. Loved everything, the huge room with comfy beds, lovely room service and the decor is amazing. If you want a comfortable stay, this hotel is the one. My daughter left something behind and they quickly organised to send it by taxi to the airport. Cannot commend enough!

Way way better than any other places I’ve stayed that tells me they speak little English. Was able to give me information on a lot things. Was missing hair dryer just needed to ask the front for one. Location easy to find and steps away from the ruin entrance. Hot water comes out in 30 secs with good pressure. The night could be a little cold like any other places in Peru I’ve stayed so far. Had the option for scrambled eggs which was nice.

Well located in the Cusco City Centre district of Cusco, Casona Dorada Hotel Cusco is located 400 metres from Cathedral of Cusco, 300 metres from Cusco Main Square and 600 metres from Religious Art... The best part of the stay is undoubtedly Ana, the owner. She is welcoming, friendly, attentive, proactive and kind. She helped me organising my tours and followed up to ensure I was picked up on time and I was happy with the experiences. She was ready with fruit to go when I had an early tour and was kind to offer advice when I had any question about Cusco. The rooms are well kept and hot packs are provided at night when the temperature descends. The location is centric, two small blocks from the main square and surrounded by restaurants and bars. The hotel also arranged pick up from the airport and drop off. It was full service!

The Saska Boutique Hotel is like an oasis to arrive at after a long bus ride from Arequipa. We were welcomed with care on arrival to a is meticulously kept hotel, where all facilities are clean, modern and fresh. Most importantly for us was the quietness of the room which was soundproofed and backed onto a garden courtyard, including all we needed. Cusco is fresh at night but they have extra blankets and a heater and the morning sun heats things up quickly. The breakfast was by far the best breakfast we have had in Peru so far. And the staff always helpful in answering any questions. Thank you Saska Boutique Hotel for your warm welcome to Cusco. We look forward to staying with you again!

The natural starting point for any visit to Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley. We did not have time to see a lot of the city, even with three nights there before our Inca trail. Registration and briefing for the Inca trail and doing a half-day tour to the Salinas salt mines and Moray, left only a few hours for sightseeing. We strolled down some streets in downtown Cusco, among a myriad of honking cars (that will never ever stop for a crossing pedestrian even if you have a green light) and beautiful, old buildings. Give yourself at least three nights on this altitude before doing the Inca trail, and add more days if you want to see more than the city itself. Avoid tourist restaurants (inflated prices and mediocre food) and to one of these two options instead: 1) the city market includes a range of food stalls that at least are open around lunch time. Ask the price before you order. We paid 6 soles (less than 2 USD) for a big plate of fried rice, cooked banana, sausages, a fried egg, French fries and a salad - wonderfully delicious. The market hall is full of people and life. Just sit down on one of the food stall benches, eat and enjoy Peruvian life. 2) Leave the main touristy streets, enter a more quiet street at random and find a small, local restaurant. They are often very simple (fast food looking) and some don't offer many options, but you get great food (and a lot of it) for very little money). The standard plate is 1/8 or 1/4 chicken (ask for the part you want: pierna = leg, pechuga = breast), rice and salad. You will usually be given a salad and some local salsas, and sometimes a soup as well, even if none of these things are listed on the menu. The market is also a fantastic place to find gorgeous, cheap and good-quality items made of alpaca, such as sweaters, blankets, gloves, hats, scarves and more. There are a myriad of stalls both inside and outside the market building. Ask your hotel where the market is.

The location of the hotel was perfect: We were able to walk all over the town and to get to our final destination seamlessly! The taxi service war phenomenal. It was already waiting for us at the airport, and it was at 4:30 p.m. sharp when it was time to leave. Our driver during the transfers was great, as was our guide Hugo! We had an amazing time. The restaurant inside the hotel is great, as well as the one at Monastério (which is also a Belmond across the street). The complimentary mini bar is a great addition and we loved the small surprises/ beauty products in our room. You will see a lot of small details like covers on the water balls or small attentions during the turndown service.
