This 18th-century castle has a quiet location, looking out over huge grounds and beautiful countryside. It is now a 4-star hotel, mixing original character with modern luxury and free parking. The hotel was beautiful. Everything was decorated beautifully. Our room was so big and the beds were nice and comfy.

In 1,300 acres of country estate, the luxurious Farnham Estate Spa and Golf Resort has a spa with an outdoor infinity pool, forest walkways and an 18-hole golf course. Cavan Town is 3 km away. Wonderful staff, fab dinner at Maxwell's (salmon en croute was the star!), delicious G&Ts beforehand made from Farnham estate gin, and a very comfortable & quiet room. Wish I'd had time to use the beautiful spa!

I love the breakfast and the fact that the hotel is in the heart of Cavan. Easy to park behind and get around the town.

Amazing breakfast included and we ate dinner there both nights because the food and people were so wonderful!! So helpful for suggestions on local attractions and transportation. Featuring free WiFi, Lakeside Manor Hotel is located on the Cavan/Meath border, 11 km from Loughcrew Historical Gardens & Visitor Centre. Free private parking is available on site. Beautifully situated, plenty of space in the rooms, bar & kitchen were excellent and the staff were second to none. So helpful & friendly, I'd recommend Lakeside Manor to anyone
