Birches Cottage & the Willows Garden Room is situated on a gravel road, 5 km from the vilage of Underberg. The estate offers nature trails, riverside pools, picnic spots, decks and viewing areas. Lots of information provided before arrival and then when we got there.

Featuring a bar, Greenfire Drakensberg Lodge is located in Kruisfontein. The property is solar powered and offers Canadian-style log cabins. A little piece of paradise, everything 5 star standard. Wouldn't change a thing. Tranquility at its best! Rooms clean, food superb, and staff friendly. Beautiful hikes, horse riding, fishing.... Loved the fact it was exclusive and not loads of people. Need to spend a week there next time!

Montusi Mountain Lodge offers a bar and is located 44 km from Bergville. Guests receive free Wi-Fi access, a children's playground and a swimming pool. Montusi Lodge will always be among the most special places we have ever visited. The grounds are gorgeous and location stunning - remote, with birdsong, epic views towards the Drakensberg amphitheatre and spectacular skies. The food is superb with a daily changing menu and we looked forward to 4 course dinners each evening (and the wine list!). We stayed 5 nights and hiked every day. Before we got there, Dumisani was super helpful with pre-organising transfers to the Royal Natal National Park (about 25km) which has fabulous hiking. Shorter self-guided trails can also be done on the Montusi estate, right from the lodge. A really impressive operation for such a remote location and hosts Lindsey & Mick and their lovely team are to be congratulated. Thanks for making us so welcome and accommodating our thirst for the great outdoors!

Located around a privately owned lake with views of the Drakensberg mountain range, Sani Valley Nature Lodges offers secluded chalet accommodation in a tranquil setting with game viewing... the comfortable setting with the amazing environment to embrace.

Located in Nottingham Road, Gowrie Farm Golf Lodge overlooks a golf course and offers panoramic views of the dam and lush surroundings. It features a sun terrace and a bar. The staff were very welcoming and could not do enough for us. Particularly Ever and Patricia. The whole environment and ambiance were brilliant. The rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable. The small function we had for our friends was well organized and the food was of very high quality and presentation.

Nastanitev Ondini Guest House se nahaja v mestu Winterton, le 8,2 km od znamenitosti Monks Cowl Country Club, in nudi vrt, skupni prostor za druženje ter skupno kuhinjo. Excellent Host and accommodation in a beautiful area. The location is perfect, a little off for a very peaceful atmosphere. The house is huge and offers everything necessary for a great stay.

Situated within a nature reserve in Kamberg Valley, Qambathi Mountain Lodge offers accommodation with free WiFi. Complimentary private parking is available on site. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and very comfortable. Woke up to horses and zebra’s grazing on the grass in front of the room which was magical. There were multiple indoor and outdoor areas to sit and read, chat or just take in the beautiful surroundings. The food is impeccable with the kitchen staff aware of coeliac requirements and went out of their way to have gluten free alternatives available. The staff were all very friendly and available if you needed them, but also not intrusive. Was a solo traveller and would go again when in the area.

Offering an outdoor pool and a restaurant, Silver Hill Lodge is located in Mooirivier. Free WiFi access is available in this lodge. Extras include bed linen and ironing facilities. Exactly as per pictures, it was magnificent

Overlooking the Spioenkop Game Reserve, Three Tree Hill Lodge offers luxury accommodation. It features a sun deck next to an outdoor swimming pool. There are hiking trails and guided tours available. Three Tree Hill Lodge is located pretty far away from the city where I stayed while in 🇿🇦, though 5 hours on a car were worth it. Vast amount of space for hiking, mountain biking and other outdoor activities. The place is beautiful and full of various plants. Being situated on a farm all the food is home made and is prepared for your choosing from a list. I really fell in love with the view from Churchill’s lodge and the lodge itself was amazing. Despite being made in an old style I found it a nice thing to get away from modern design for 2 days. The service was great as well: they offer coffee, tea, lemonade throughout the day and three meals per day which I found decent. Also would like to say that people there are very friendly: if something bothers you they will help and if you just want to have a conversation you will definitely have a great one! They also accept banking cards there (ApplePay works as well, which was great because I didn’t take any cards with me😂)
