We unfortunately arrived in the rain and left in the rain, so the birdwatching I hoped for was a little dampened. Fortunate rain for all the animals plants and people of the bushveld tho! The owners are gracious and helpful - and such good cooks. Despite the downpours and wind, we slept warm and dry in our unique accommodation. Would love to visit again on a sunny day!

The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, the chalets are comfortable, have a fridge filled with refreshments, WIFI is superb. But best of all is the spectacular view. You can sit on the terrace of your chalet and keep watching the beautiful landscape, mountains, valleys and spectacular stars at night. There is a family style dinner served in the evening and a very pleasant breakfast. The place also has some zebras. I enjoyed every minute of my stay.A very good base for the Addo Elephant park and I enjoyed also the Scotia safari.

The place is a true gem, we absolutley loved it. Had a fantastic time. Our toddler loved running around, entering the swimming pool and even got lucky to meet Lucy the giraffe. The food was amazing. My husband has celiac and he had so much great options to eat. We had a problem with the car on the way and the staff were super friendly, helpful and available for us. So happy we had the oppurtunity to stay in this great place. Thank you!

Offering panoramic views of the Zuurberg Mountain Range, Camp Figtree by The Oyster Collection features a variety of game drives, safaris and game walks. The view from the mountains is amazing. There is a nice pool and relaxing area. We had a dinner also with this view. The rooms are pretty, all made us to feel good!! We had a small Kia Picanto rental car, very small one. Luckily it was not rainy season, so it was no problem to go up with this car, we had to drive slow and carefully and all was fine!!! The hotel is not far from Addo National Park, so before heading there we made a 2 hour driving from the northern entrance of the park and we saw many elephants and other animals.

This is a lovely lodge that has a safari theme and is dedicated to giraffe game drives: do not miss this! They do not have wild animals so you can get off the safari vehicle and walk next to the giraffes!! That was such a highlight! The room was as advertised and the dinner we booked was very nourishing and good: but the giraffe drive was amazing!

It was our first experience of a game reserve and it didn’t disappoint! From start to finish it was just amazing in every way. Our Guide called Teacher was the absolute best!!!
