Very busy. Don't think they have a capacity.
Very busy. Don't think they have a capacity. Be prepared to wait to view architecture - people queuing to get the perfect ‘gram’ picture. No info signs around the palace to explain anything but one way system seems to work well. In and out in about an hour and that’s with queuing to pay.

Difficult to avoid tourist groups, even in November.
Difficult to avoid tourist groups, even in November. They come in waves so sit in the sunshine and wait until they have passed on. We went round the palace a few times and took some lovely, uninpeded photos. Same with the beautiful Majorelle Gardens which are smaller and more packed at times. Worth the wait.

70 Dirhams to enter is not cheap and you will not spend more than an hour there. Good for seeing intricate Moroccan tiling, exquisite and intricate ceiling designs and understanding the background to some of the rituals.

Incredible works, very beautiful building, full of history.
Incredible works, very beautiful building, full of history.
I recommend you book for a guide, instead of doing a solo visit, so that you can have the insights behind the construction and the architecture, discover details you would not notice by yourself, hear about the lives of the monarchs who have made the greatness of the palace.

Our room was nice and clean. The riad is very quiet, and the location is great. It is only five minutes walk to Badi Palace, Bahia Palace, Mellah and Slat Al Azama Synagogue from there. It takes about ten minutes to Jemaa el-Fnaa along Rue Riad Zitoun el Kdim. The staff are all lovely and breakfasts are very good. Good facilities. We will choose this riad again if we are ever back to Marrakech.
Starting by saying that it's a very budget option, the room was good and clean for the price. And the terrace is very nice. We also liked the position a bit outside of full full center but very close to Bahia Palace and Jewish old area. The people welcoming us was nice. Overall I would recommend for a budget option
New Bahia is in a great location, close to Bahia Palace and also the main Place in Marrakesh. It’s not too far from some squares which you can get taxis to and from either. The building itself has a gorgeous covered courtyard and a large roof terrace which gave us great sunset views and also a look at the famous Jewish Cemetery in Marrakesh. The staff were friendly and welcoming everytime we saw them, and it was a great place to stay to finish up our trip in Marrakesh.
Riad a few steps from the main attractions (El Bahia palace, Koutoubia Mosque, Jemaa el-Fnaa, El Badi palace, Ben Youssef Madrasa, Saadian tombs...). The owner, David, very helpful, kind... we arrived around one in the morning due to a flight delay and he welcomed us with serenity, giving us two bottles of water, some Moroccan biscuits and two very delicious juices. Abundant breakfast. spacious and comfortable bed. Also very helpful in choosing restaurants and excursions. We will definitely be back!!!
Location is very good for medina, 5 minutes walk to Jemaa el-Fnaa also 5 to Bahia Palace so you've got everything around you. Inside you won't feel anything about the outside craziness. Staff very polite and helpful. The Riad and rooftop really nice. Maybe shower and mattress could do with an update
In the center of the medina so it is close to major attractions like Bahia Palace and the central market square. The staff are friendly and they introduced places to visit, including which place offers the best exchange rates.
Everything exceeded our expectation. The host, Fawzy is a true moroccan and it was a real plesure to talk to him.
His advices were great and he helped us even when we had an early 5 AM flight.
We will come back for sure.
Regarding the accommodation, it is a tipically riad, with everything we needed. And the terrace is magic! It is set in the heart of the Medina a few steps from Bahia Palace.
Absolutely our favourite place during our Morocco trip. We have stayed in five different Riads, but Dar Taliwint was definitely our favourite!! Great location, just meters away from Bahia Palace and really easy to access all the landmarks of Marrakesh. Tasty, moroccan-sweet breakfast is also a big plus! Owner of Riad, Lenaick, is a lovely and genuine person, don't forget to ask him for restaurants recommendation, he knows where to go!!
Great place. The rooms are beautiful, the riad too. The staff are super nice, helpful and friendly. They helped me organize my time and with shopping.
Breakfast is good. It's all sweet, but that seems to be the standard in Morocco.
It's one street away from the main market and two streets away from the Bahia Palace. Everything is super close and it's safe to walk around at night (female solo traveller)
The staff were exceptional throughout the stay - kind, considerate, and always willing to answer any questions or requests that we had. They let us change rooms when our air-conditioning wouldn't work, and even let us borrow kitchen items to cook in the apartment. Everything was clean and well-maintained. The location was also perfect and we easily walked to Bahia Palace, Badi Palace, the Saadian Tombs, and the Jemaa el-Fnaa market. I highly recommend staying here!
