Zilda was always willing to help, and the town of Penalva do Castelo was just a dream. Check out restaurants Recordo and Pizzeria da Lameira—great food!

Located between Mafra and Lisbon, Aldeia da Mata Pequena is a small rural village that was completely restored and transports visitors into the past in an untouched green landscape. The whole stay at Aldeia da Mata Pequena was an experience. The ambience of the old portugese village was really authentic and we really enjoyed discovering all the authentic facilities inside the house. The breakfast with the warm bread delivered in the morning was just the cherry on top.
