Set in Vossevangen and with Hangurstrekket reachable within 4 km, Haugo utleige offers a garden, non-smoking rooms, free WiFi and a shared lounge. My friend and I had a great rest in this beautiful place. The staff was super friendly and supportive. Our room, the shared bathroom and kitchen were super clean, spacious and well equipped. Free parking was also helpful. We also used the terrace for breakfast in the morning, it left us such a peaceful memory.

Offering an outdoor pool, sauna and views of the mountain, Voss Mountain Lodge is situated in Mjølfell. We had a wonderful time at the lodge, which is set in beautiful nature with many hiking trails around. Somewhat remote and not as frequented by tourists it was still easily accessible by train thanks to a nearby train station. We arrived by train from Bergen and after a short hike down a bit of a bumpy but beautiful path through the woods, arrived safely and were warmly welcomed by the hostess. We were served yummy breakfast and enjoyed the home cooked dinners in the evenings after active days. We definitely recommend this hidden gem and are planning to go back there again.

Historic Jaunsen Gjestgjevarstad offers home-cooked Norwegian cuisine, free Wi-Fi, and free private parking. Voss is 25 minutes’ drive away. After dinner in house (highly recommended) we were treated by our host to sample some of the local apple cider and a history of the guesthouse.
