We were greeted by the host, Sara, at our arrival and we felt like knowing each other for life. We traveled with our dog and she was accepted and welcomed like us. A big, fenced, garden around the property allowed us to let our dog off the leash. A simple but excellent dinner is proposed to the guests for a very moderate fee (appetizer, main dish and dessert). Water, beer, wine and more are available at all time in the fridge, as well as coffee and tea. The rooms are very spacious and clean, each with access to a balcony.

Offering panoramic views of the Lake Maggiore and the surrounding landscape, Osteria Locanda Brack enjoys a hillside position in Gudo, a 15-minute drive from the city of Locarno. Marco was a fantastic host, very welcoming. Dinner was delicious, everything was homemade and homegrown or very local (rocket from the garden, fish from the lake, wine from the neighbouring vineyard). Marco’s mixed pasta was exceptional. We had a super evening, nicely finished in front of the fire with grappa and music on the juke box. Super breakfast too… loved the walnut bread and so many delicious delicacies. We will definitely be returning, this is a very special place and worth a detour.

Typical Ticino-style Pensione Olanda is 1 km from the Madonna del Sasso pilgrimage church, and features garden and a terrace, furnished with deckchairs and offering panoramic views of Locarno and Lake... The most beautiful hotel I stayed during my bike trip in Switzerland. They have postcards and the owner posted it for me. The view awesome. There's lot of beers in the fridge. Was a nice stay

Peacefully situated a 5-minute walk from the centre of Brissago and overlooking the Lake Maggiore, the family-run Residence Venus Garden is surrounded by a picturesque garden with a furnished terrace... Fantastic view on the lake. Very friendly owners. We enjoyed our visit a lot.
