As part of the Vila Porto Mare resort, this hotel offers 4 restaurants, 6 bars and 5 swimming pools. Porto Mare features an extensive tropical garden on the Atlantic oceanfront. Very beautiful well maintained property. Rooms, facilities and grounds were all well maintained. Staff were always helpful.

Great location and staff, they are super friendly! If we come back to Funchal, we definitely are staying there again!

Set on a cliff in 10 acres of subtropical gardens overlooking the Atlantic, this 5-star resort features an oceanfront spa, 3 swimming pools and direct access to oceanic waters. I just wanted to say how simply amazing I think this hotel is. Simply the top of the line.As I sit here writing this I tear up. EVERYONE from the front desk, to the bell hop to the people who brought me my breakfast, the gentlemen in the restaurant and especially Elia Silva, who loved her job so much she sang while she was making my bed. And last but but far not least, I was so homesick I want to go back home so badly and the manager let me cancel my third night. I’m still amazed, simply amazed at this sublime hotel. and jeez wiz I didn’t even mention how beautiful and well appointed the Palace was. I just hope you know that there are people out there who so appreciates what you do for people. This is from the bottom of my heart

يتميز فندق غولدين ريزيدنس بمسبح خارجي ومركز عافية ومكان إقامة عصري يضم شرفات خاصة ويوفر إطلالات بانورامية على برايا فورموسا وهو أكبر شاطئ حصوي في ماديرا. I spent 5 wonderful days in the hotel with 2 kids. We all liked a lot breakfasts , where we found different meal on our taste! Our appartment was really big with 2 rooms, super clean and nice with evetything needed inside! First few days it was windy, so we used to go to the inside swimming pool with jacuzzi and saunas. My kids loved this time-spending and it was very relaxed for me as well: after all day walking to swim in warm water and to get rest. The area with outside swimming pool looks much better and bigger than on the photos and it has a wonderdull views for the ocean and nature around! Very beautiful beach wit rocks is in 5 minutes walking from the hotel!
