Great hotel with a private beach, we were on the top floor with spectacular almost 360 view. The room was spacious and clean, bed comfortable.
Breakfast was really good, and bar cocktails were also nice.

We enjoyed Santa Margherita Ligure very much.
We enjoyed Santa Margherita Ligure very much. It was a delightful town by the beach. There are lots of different places to eat. There is an absolutely delightful walk to Portofino along the coast. In the other direction there is also a lovely walk to Rapallo.

This city is a must visit.
This city is a must visit. The city itself has plenty to offer, from shops to an array of great seafood restaurants. Awesome waterfront and the perfect connection, in whichever way suits you, on foot, by bus or ferry, to Portofino...and we did try all three.

Views fantastic. Choice of restaurants and bars good.food expensive. Weather iffy at times but didn't spoil our enjoyment. Coffee amazing. Food delicious. Transport to portofino awkward if ferry not running.

I would have rather stayed in Santa Margarita than in Cinque Terra. CT was nice but SM was larger, the feel was more holiday Mediterranean style, more restaurants, shops... a great base to stay and then take the train or ferries down to CT

I loved the area.
I loved the area. I would stay there and take day trips to Cinque Terre rather than staying there. Cinque Terre is very noisy. it’s less expensive to take the bus rather than the ferry to Portofino.because was a short ride. Even though we were a mile from town it was too long and uphill to walk back. Taxi rides are $30 each way. I wish we were closer to the strip. There were many shops and nice restaurants on the strip and in town. Beautiful place

Absolutely beautiful place with plenty of restaurants and bars. Very friendly people everywhere we went. Clear water, no big waves, perfect for swimming. Plenty to see and easy transport to other areas. Trains cheap and frequent. Buses great. Taxi pricey.

The staff are amazing. They sat my wife and I down right at check in and went over all of the best spots to go to in town and told us all of our options. The room was extremely clean and the air conditioning worked great. The breakfast was fantastic and the hotel is in a perfect location. It is a 2 minute walk to the main stretch of Santa Margherita Ligure. We will definitely be staying here when we come back. Would rate this hotel 10/10, definitely recommend to stay here.
We stayed in the Portofino suite which offers a great view of the sea with balcony, and is very comfortable in all respects. Breakfast includes a variety of homemade items, fruit, and excellent scrambled eggs and bacon. The villa is on a hill overlooking the train station and town of Santa Margherita Ligure; we had no issues with noise, but the staff provide earplugs if help is needed. We had a very relaxing 3-night stay.
I love everything in this hotel, honestly should be 4* as it’s immaculate perfection. The room was spacious and with the balcony I had stunning comfort feeling of being home. I’m so happy to had experience this place and 5 minutes walk to Santa Margherita beach, no need for taxis as I made the mistake to take twice taxis as I didn’t knew I could walk. But was great staying and discover.
seriously, shocking, Italy was our last stop on our euro tour and the service level is horrendous comparable to places like Montenegro.
argumentative employees, always late, not attentive to us, getting orders wrong and arguing with us.
seriously avoid, if you work for your money and actually care then go somewhere else.
we had the suite, seriously not worth it. don’t do it.
The staff is fabulous! Francesco- mixologist extraordinaire educating you on the regions' wines and spirits. Monica front desk has the best recommendations, directions, and information about the area and surroundings. Beautiful room with breathtaking views. I would recommend Hotel Helios to everyone. Make the trip when you get to Italy, you will not be disappointed!
Loved that it had AC! We were in Italy for a few weeks and in the middle of a heat wave. The fact that this flat had AC was such a lifesaver.
It seemed like a newly remodeled, well appointed / equipped flat that had everything to make our stay comfortable (even coffee for the morning and a washing machine to do laundry!)
Location was great too! No complaints.
Beautiful apartment in the center of Santa Margherita. Close to the beach and city center. Host was the best! She gave us all the information needed for staying in Santa Margherita - detailed and clear, was online and ready to answer immediately, entrance was explained clear. Apartment is clean with big and comfy bed. Has kitchen with all needed facilites.
it was close to everything including the trains buses the breakfast was wonderful
the patios were so relaxing and nice
it was our favorite hotel so far and the owner is always there to help with anything needed
everything is perfect! Room is always clean and the staff is super friendly, they are always ready to help you. The breakfast is the highlight - one of the best i ever had in Italy - and waiters are fun and kind.
The best hotel in the whole region! The location is perfect and pastoral, the staff is so kind, the breakfast was wonderful, the price is fair and the view is lovely. Much recommend
Was not a 4 star hotel. More like a 1 star hotel. Breakfast was the worst breakfast. The eggs were cold the service was terrible. Would not recommend this place to stay to anyone.
What a find! This is a small pension hotel with clean rooms with ensuite shower in the centre Santa Margherita. Perfect in every way and amazing value! Nice attentive owner!
We love this hotel. The location is unbeatable, but what really makes it so special is the staff and how friendly they are (Especially Marta, she is great)
