very friendly reception. Excellent food. Superb breakfast: there was just us (apart from a local who came in for a cup of coffee and pastry) and we were offered not just the standard fare but also a cooked breakfast (my friends were Yankees so they took up the offer). They really went out of their way to please us (it was a Sunday morning BTW)

Belluno is a lovely little town and the surrounding area has much to offer. I was there for work so little time to explore , Great ice cream at Novecento ( Astra hotel). The accommodation I stayed in Dolomite suite) spoilt the experience but the kindness of the staff of the hotel I moved was reassuring and ensured my safety.

It is a charming village, bigger than most in the area, but some parts of the historic centre are in terrible disrepair. There are lots of bars and gelato shops, but too few restaurants that actually serve warm meals. Most good restaurants have all the tables reserved by locals in the evening, so it is a bit of a struggle to eat out on a whim. Also, the restaurants serve lunch and dinner according to a fixed schedule, so don't even think of having pizza or pasta at 4 or 5 in the afternoon!CiprianRomania - 8.0Scored 8.0

The hospitality was superb; hosts friendly and welcoming. We were greeted by Paulo with Prosecco, and shown our very comfortable, tasteful and large room. We dined with the other guests around the table for delicious, home grown or locally sourced fare that was lovingly prepared and beautifully presented.
