The staff were friendly, accomodating and really helped make it such a special experience. I proposed to my girlfriend whilst we were staying and they really made extra effort to make it memorable including roses and decoration of the room, advice on champagne etc. They have mutliple restaurants on site and the mountain view is stunning!

The staff were very friendly and informative, and were so helpful when I had to extend a night due to travel plan changes. The single room is spacious with full sized bathtub in the private bathroom. The spa/sauna area is modern and I had the several facilities all to myself for both times I went. The hotel offered pick-up and drop-off services from/to the bus-stop, which was very helpful for me given my luggage and the snow. Breakfast was also amazing, partly because of their close relationship with the Chinese/Thai restaurant downstairs. I had a wonderful time there and would definitely recommend this place.

Where to start? The place is a little island of peace and quietness in the middle of a forrest. At the same time, it is extremely close to the village (15 minutes walking distance). In addition, there is a private transport service organised by the hotel, which was extremely convenient for skiing.
The staff is extremely friendly, helpful and professional. They go the extra mile to make your stay nothing less than perfect, and do so while creating a very personal atmosphere.
There is a restaurant in the hotel, which offers a very good selection of local and European dishes, and the wine selection is exquisite.
Even though the rating of the WiFi on this website is a bit lower, the hotel fixed this convincingly by providing you with a wifi receiver to take to the room. This fully solved any issue that might have been there in the past, since the wireless internet worked perfectly.

Overall excellent but did not find the piste marking / maps adequate. As a result it took some time to work the area out. I also feel the village could improve their website and the number and arrangement of webcams. It is way more beautiful than these show

Saas Fee is stunning.
Saas Fee is stunning. The resort was excellent and everyone there was really nice and very polite. The restaurants we ate at were of a very high quality and being Switzerland you expect to pay fairly high prices. The Apres and nightlife was better than other resorts I've visited and I think the people made that the case. We went in January and were apparently very lucky with the weather being sunny as according to a local its usually blizzards. Please note that the pistes face north so were shaded near the bottom. For more sun exposure we drove 5mins to Saas Grund which our ski pass covered. Saas Grund hasn't as many runs but it was still worth a day trip. To summarise I would definitely hit this place up again.
This is wonderful little hotel. We had a lovely time in Saas Fee and the hotel in particular. The location is excellent, 5 mins walk from the car park and in the centre of the village but also quiet at the same time. Breakfast was really nice and had a good selection with attention to detail. The hosts Carla and Stephan were lovely, always with a smile and super helpful. The honesty bar was a great idea and the home brew IPA was 👌. We will certainly comeback. Thank you!
There isn’t much not to like at this apartment. Communication was easy and accessible. The location was perfect for us to walk from the parking, to all the lifts, restaurants and bars, and also the supermarkets.
The apartment was stocked with everything we needed to make our holiday in Saas-fee fantastic - not only a Wii for the big kids, but a raclette oven and fondue sets for all of us to enjoy after a fun day outside.
We find the Alpenlodge Etoile is simple, nice and equipped with every comfort. The staff is very nice, puts a lot of attention to details and makes customers feel like at home. The breakfast is rich and delicious, the hotel also has sauna indoor and a Jacuzzi outdoor, it offers spacious rooms and a bus service to/from Saas-Fee Bus Terminal.
Definitely recommended.
Check in was easy, phoned the hotel manager and he came to see us straight away. The appartment was larger then expected, the beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the failities required and included a pod coffee machine which was nice. The views from the balconey were amazing and there was a small grocery store just a couple of minutes walkaway
I had low expectations given the price compared to the hotels around, but they were clearly surpassed.
The breakfast was pretty good, the small spa was fantastic for its size, and I got a free upgrade to a better room (I guess due to low occupancy). The room was small as expected, but cozy and more than enough for the time spent there.
The breakfast was nice, although the coffee machine had a problem from time to time, serving cappucino instead of expresso, water instead of coffee... The hotel is right in the middle of Saas-Fee near all the cable cars and the bus station. We get a free pass to all buses and cable car in Saas towns.
Martina and her team showered us with friedliness. The hotel has a fantastic sauna area with great panorama. We were allowed to use it after checkout and skiing and that was great. They are renovating the hotel step by step in a good way.
Thanks Excellent break fast. Responsive pick up service.
Lovely family run hotel on top of Saas-Fee. I had a great room with a large balcony facing the Allaline mountain - what a great view.
Upon arrival I was lost haven gotten off at the wrong bus station. The host immediately came by car, picked me up and drove me to the hotel with a smile!
Rooms are modern inside & spacious, several excellent restaurants onsite. Excellent breakfast to get the day started and if half board a 4/5 course evening meal with a great menu. Extensive & varied wine list. Large wellness area & pool, massage available.
One of the, if not the best apartments I have stayed at in Switzerland.
Clean and modern apartment with all the required amenities. Comfortable beds and adequate closet space. Location is close to restaurant/bars, ski lifts and supermarkets.
We were a family of 4 plus a family of 2. Loved the space it’s an apartment with a loft. Kitchen is fully supplied. Fully furnished inside and on patio. Owners are responsive. On a fifth floor with elevator and gorgeous views
The hotel has a jacuzzi (with an entire spa). The water is nicely warm and it is a very nice activity for the end of a walking day!!
The breakfast buffet is super and the view on the river beautiful!
Great location - short walk into town and the bus to the ski lifts stops very close to the hotel. Our rooms were very big. Good breakfast. Good value for Saas Fee in ski season.
