A nice hotel along the main drag in the quaint and picturesque medieval village of Gruyères. We had a very spacious room offered at a discount, and enjoyed the nice breakfast in the morning well worth the CHF 15 per person.
Situated on the edge of Gruyères, the Hôtel de Gruyères offers you quiet rooms with balconies decorated in rustic style, and free WiFi access.

Picture postcard setting and good location for the village and easy access, if fit and able, to walk to & from The Cheese Factory & train station.
Staff were friendly. Breakfast was available at the property if you wanted it. The restaurant attached to the hotel offered us discount during our stay (which was also available in their gift shop in the village). We had dinner in the restaurant which was excellent and had stunning views.
We spent the afternoon in the village & chateau. Very picturesque, tranquil & peaceful.
La Fleur de Lys is housed in a 350 year-old building right in the centre of the medieval town of Gruyère, 400 metres from Gruyère Castle, the Giger Museum and the Tibet Museum.

We loved this property! Clean, comfy bed, well equipped kitchen and lovely owner, so close to the castle!
Bus from railway station to the old town is a short distance, runs frequently and waits at the station. Beautiful views of a gorgeous area.

Very nice appartment, with a lot of space, very well furnished with a beautiful terrasse. It is clearly shaped as an appartment for the the needs of families going to the neighbouring ski station. It wasn't our case, but we really appreciated having breakfast in the terrasse with its views to the astonishing sight of the Alps, before going for a nice hike in the forest around, then heading to the nearby beuatiful Gruyere for a great visit and lunch.
Offering a garden and garden view, Charming chalet with panoramic view and private garage in Gruyère is set in Gruyères, 46 km from Train station Montreux and 32 km from Rochers de Naye.

The staff were very warm and welcoming. They were helpful and polite. They were kind to upgrade us to a bigger room even though they didnt need to. The interior was clean and nice. I had a really comfortable stay.
Directly linked via an underground hallway to the Gruyère Spa, Hotel Cailler offers you charming country-style rooms and fine cuisine.

I return time and time again to this beautiful hotel. I highly recommend it. It checks all the boxes: welcoming, clean and comfortable, very nice staff, very good restaurants and easy access to some water fun.

Tiny Gruyères is better suited for a daytime visit than an overnight stay. Food options are pricey and few between, with limited menus and no activities after dark. Better options for your stay would probably be in nearby Bulles.

Beautiful hilltop medieval town with so-so castle, great views, ambiance, a great cheese manufacturing tour, some lovely hotels, a Tibetan museum, and a museum of the works of the disturbed anti-human artist HR Giger. If you are into easy-moderate hiking, the Callier chocolate factory, or the nearby towns (Broc or Moreson) Mt., it will be worth more than one day.
I took a lovely hike to Broc on a trail found in the app, AllTrails. This was very worthwhile.

Although very small, Gruyères is one of the most beautiful places in the world! The fondue is not to be missed at any restaurant, and both the castle and the Giger museum and bar are a must for any visiter.

Great location, easy parking. The room was clean.
Great location, easy parking. The room was clean. The room was clearly the worst room in the hotel, facing the parking lot so it was extremely loud, when the cars were leaving. It seemed like the room had 0 sound isolation, we could hear everything. The staff was not very friendly and clearly did not care for us as guests, I needed to ask extra times for information about what to do and see around.
Not very good value for money in my opinion

Picturesque old town, pleasant castle, traditional cheese based menu’s available at multiple restaurants. Very pastoral and serene countryside with views of valleys and mountains. Helicopter sightseeing flight from Gruyere airport with SwissHelicopter was fantastic (defined packages available but can in-effect charter the helicopter by the minute to customise your experience... cheaper than you might expect!). The pilot was fabulous, and the views wonderful.

Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured...
Gruyeres is a picturesque small village that can be toured in a morning or afternoon. We had a fondue dinner at Hotel de Ville and breakfast at Auberge de la Halle - both highly recommended. Parking is outside of the village and all is accessible on foot, equivalent in size to 2-3 large city blocks. Especially liked the castle and Giger bar (did not tour the museum).
Room was very big and nice, beds were very comfy, it was a rustic like feeling. Location and host is good. Point to note - bus 260 to Gruyere Ville operates till 7+pm from the Gruyeres main station - check google maps. Use the bus otherwise its a long uphill walk. Quiet town with food places nearby. No supermarket though, have to take the bus and go to another village for the supermarket like Migros or Denner. Ate at the restaurant and the food was good too. The kitchen was fully equipped and easy to use.
The hotel is literally in the heart of the old town Gruyère. We had a room on the top floor which was much larger than we anticipated with lots of space, a kettle, coffee, a television and a lovely little bathroom. Not to mention a beautiful view from the skylight windows. You can get breakfast at the attached restaurant for an additional cost in the morning which is also convenient if you’re passing through and have a long drive ahead of you through the alps!
This hotel is superbly located on top of the hill, just outside the wall of the medieval town of Gruyeres - you can walk there from the train station in about 10 minutes. There is a nice restaurant right next door with great views and very friendly staff. We did a really nice half day walk from the hotel, across the Pont Qui Branle, to the cafe-restaurant Les Marches. The views of Gruyere and Le Moleson from a distance are spectacular.
Perfect location in the middle of everything in Gruyères. Very hospitable owners and lovely place with a terrace and small kitchen. Stand up shower which we love (no getting in and out of a tub bath!). We used the terrace a lot and really enjoyed it. Overall, much nicer than staying in any hotel for the space and terrace alone. We would definitely stay here again when in Gruyères.
What a charming little town! As if we flew back in time a few hundred years. We were so happy that we visited, the castle on the top of the hill is also worth the climb. We all loved the cheese fondue they served. If you arrive by car, be prepared that there are only paid car parks before the town gate and that you need to walk a few hundred metres to reach the hotel.
The location was incredible; so beautiful! lt is within the town fortified by castle walls and close to both the castle and the Maison de Gruyères. The Maison Cailler was only an hour walk away. The room was also very close to some beautiful nature views. Chantal was very welcoming and accomodating and speaks English well
The hotel is beautiful. The bedroom was spacious and the beds were super comfortable! The location is just magical, it even snowed, and the staff was super friendly.
The breakfast is very versatile too.
There is a shared room with a fireplace and free tea and coffee which is a delight.
A great environment to unwind.
We stayed two nights. This boutique hotel was charming and had an artisanal cheese maker who was great and affable. The room was spacious and had a incredible view. The staff was efficient and friendly and the restaurant was very good. A great experience all around.
This was an incredibly cozy place to stay with an incredible view. The beds were a bit squeaky, but they were quarto super comfy. Staff was incredibly polite and able to assist us with being American. Would love to stay here again if we ever go back to Gruyères.
Hotel staff was bubbly and helped us carried our super heavy luggage up the stairs though there was no lift. We were offered hot coffee early next morning to go as well since we were trying to catch our train. Small act of kindness goes a long way! Recommended!
The hotel has a great location. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and big enough for a one night stay. We loved the cozy atmosphere of the hotel. The breakfast was local and fresh but the selection could be better.
Hotel is very quaint and rooms have basic amenities. Views and location were the best. Convenient parking. Very comfortable beds and typical Swiss high quality of cleanliness which to me are the two most important things in a hotel.
Everything was excellent! A group of 8 of us stayed between two of their quadruple rooms and it was perfect! The restaurant next door was so good too! Highly recommend for families wanting to get the full Gruyeres experience!
Coffee machine (a replacement for one that had broken down) didn’t work properly. No croissants left after half an hour. Rest of the breakfast boring, especially in an area when hotel breakfasts are usually delicious
I stayed at this hotel and I must say that the staff was very welcoming and helpful throughout my stay. They were able to meet all of my requests and did everything they could to make my stay as enjoyable as possible.
Excellent location with parking. Staff very nice and kind. The hotel is not update but very clean. The breakfast was great and the breakfast room with incredible views.
Hotel location is amazing. You'll stay in the heart of Gruyere. Breakfast was good and the staff during the breakfast and checking out was very kind and helpful.
