Staff were most helpful. This includes Reception, young Waiter very cooperative Chef. Chef considerably modified my main course to suit my low carbs diet.

It was a little way out of Estremoz and Google maps couldn't find the address but I messaged the host in advance and she provided exact GPS coordinates which worked perfectly. Super quiet, well equipped and the back patio was beautiful. Everything worked and the Wifi was good. Host was very responsive.
Estremoz centre is a 5 minute steep walk from our hotel.
Estremoz centre is a 5 minute steep walk from our hotel. It is a simple but enchanting working market town set in wonderful countryside. There are numerous small bars and restaurants, many of which are located in small cobbled streets. Some do not look particularly appealing, but are worth a try as they offer an insight into normal Estremoz life. Try the Adega do Zé Varunca restaurant - it’s very quirky but the food is very good and reasonably priced. Beware though, as the portions are huge. There were very few tourists in the town while we were there, which added to our enjoyment. Don’t miss the regular Saturday morning market which offers fresh produce as well as bric-à-brac.

Great little town in the Alentejo on the border with Spain.
Great little town in the Alentejo on the border with Spain. Fantastic market on Saturday morning and the tile museum which is fabulous. There are many wineries in the area and some really good restaurants - Howard's Folly, Merceria Gadanha and the restaurant Gadanha in the hotel.

We loved the town and the efforts gone to celebrate Christmas. We also highly recommend the restaurants we visited and the friendly and helpful staff. In particular the staff at the cafe KIMBO who went out of their way to help when I left my phone there!

Greate place to visit on a weekend, and escaping the agitation of by cities. I recommend being saturday morning in Estremoz and enjoy the market that happens on saturdays until lunch time. In the market you can find many fresh foods. The variety of cheeses is good.

It was a nice town and had a restaurant that we never got around to because it was raining and we ate at the one 50 years from castle reception area. Its a great spot to use as a base as we went to Elvas (great castle and square), Evora, Vila Vicosa from here and returned. You could also do several other towns.
Our short stay was a real delight. Surrounded by beautiful countryside with vinyards, olive and cork tree groves, both the hotel and the local area was perfect to slow down the pace, and spend some time relaxing, having a bit of fun, and disconnecting. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and welcoming, with a lovely breakfast with some homemade treats. We had a family room and were delighted to find a small kitchen area in it including a fridge. Oh and we loved the pool table!
Magnificent heritage castle premises on top of the small hill in the middle of nowhere, over which it has excellent views. We used this hotel for an over-night break in a self-drive journey from north to south - and we were so please that we did. The corridors and guest areas of the hotel are furnished with many splendid antique items and the generously-sized rooms are very comfortable. Highly recommended.
Christina is very thoughtful and nice.. she gave us recommendations of places to visit and she has everything in the house from books to playing cards. The house is also very beautiful and clean. It is well located, not so far from the city center, very near to the castle and has a nice view. We definitely recommend this place !
This was a delightful gem in Estremoz. The staff was wonderful and the chef is passionate and super kind and friendly. breakfast was wonderful and we were sad not to be able to be there when they were open for dinner. We were there during the off season in January, so the town was quiet. Beautiful little city.

The location is at the center. Yo ucan go around main historical areas on foot.

Staff very friendly
Room size is big. Balcony at the last floor. CLass!
This is a beautiful apartment in a perfect location in Estremoz. Very close to the main square. The place is very clean and well appointed! Filipe and Paula are great hosts! Highly recommended!
Our favorite place in Portugal. Gracious hosts, beautiful house and pool, comfy beds and amazing breakfasts.. Close to town with incredible restaurants. Our second visit and we hope to visit again.
POUSADA DE ESTREMOZ IS WELL KNOWN. I WAS USED TO STAY THERE FOR MANY YEARS FOR ITS POSITIVE ASPECTS (LOCATION; SERVICE; QUALITY).
EMPLOYEES ARE STILL NICE BUT THEY CANNOT MAKE MIRACLES.
The garden is amazing, the whole atmosphere of the hotel is great and you can see a lot of thought was put into every detail.
The staff is wonderful, and the food is delicious.
Great hotel. Friendly and energetic staff. Love the place. Amazing soup smell. The country side view was a bonus (vineyards). Close by attraction and great food options.
