The hotel is modern, bright and spacious. Our room was clean and comfortable, large enough and well equipped. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was very tasty with a variety of food and drinks. Parking was free across the street. I can recommend this hotel to everyone.

Let’s start with location - it’s a tale of two cities. If your mission in Poznan is to navigate the city by car, then Mercure hotel offers a sanctuary with ample parking and stress-free access. But if you're dreaming of leisurely strolls in the charming Old Market Square, brace yourself for a bit of a trek, as the hotel stands a considerable distance away.
Five star Sheraton hotel is just a stone’s throw from this place, I often lean towards Mercure for a few practical perks - the expansive space in front of the hotel is a breath of fresh air for anyone who’s battled for a parking spot in a cramped city center. Also price: here you will find a room for twice the price of the hotel next door, and the quality of the rooms does not make much difference. The difference certainly remains in the customer service - at the Sheraton, you just feel like you're in a five-star hotel. Just check what you care about most on any given day.
The hotel itself has seen better days but has been spruced up to meet four-star expectations. The rooms? Decently appointed and spacious, providing a comfortable retreat after a day of urban exploration or business meetings.
As for the service, it's pleasant enough, however, it often hovers closer to a three-star experience, never quite stepping over the threshold into four-star territory - a real pity, considering the potential simmering beneath its surface.

One of Poland’s oldest cities and a birthplace of the Polish nation, Poznan is the capital city of the Greater Poland (Wielkopolska) region. Famous for international trade fairs, high quality shopping and popular festivals, this city is on the rise!
Its colourful medieval Old Town flourishes with dozens of bars, cafés and pubs open until the early hours of the morning. During warm days, you can sit in one of the pretty beer gardens and admire the architecture and the world going by.
For something different, enjoy Europe’s only steam-hauled passenger train and ride to Greater Poland National Park. Alternatively, visit the reconstructed brewery and indulge in shopping, as the Old Brewery is now one of the world’s best shopping malls.
Poznan lies halfway between Berlin and Warsaw and perfectly combines the old and the new, from Ostrow Tumski with its beautiful St. Peter’s and Paul’s Cathedral, to the glass and steel of Poznan International Fair and the city's skyscrapers.
Booking.com has a wide range of accommodation in Poznan to fit all your needs, from convenient hotels, to stylish apartments and budget hostels. So whenever you happen to arrive at Poznan Lawica Airport, you’re only minutes away from exploring this fascinating city.

Beautiful city for a long weekend of history, architecture, and eating and drinking. We spent a leisurely day each in the old town, cathedral island and the Kaiser's Castle/university area. Lots of green spaces, cafe culture and shopping. Ate at low to mid-priced restaurants and enjoyed every meal.

I haven't been into the city as I was travelling for work and visited locations around Poznan. Major roads are well-kept, but local roads from the highway to smaller cities/villages are in bad condition, but drivable.

Castle was a little disappointing - there was a transgender event the day we visited which was interesting but there seemed to be little of the original (or early) castle to see

Now many cycling lanes are available.
There is so many pubs and restaurants that it is really hard choice to make.

We stayed in the main square and it has recently undergone major renovation which means it is really very nice and looked and felt, at times, like being on a film set! Easy to get round the city and we used public transport to visit neighbouring cities and taxis to access slightly further away sites eg cathedral area. Lots of places to eat and not an expensive city - at the moment! Only visited one of the big shopping malls but it was easy to find and lots of good shops , much better than average UK cities! Some of the tourist areas lacked explanations in English but this is evolving.
Location was perfect, a short walk to the city centre/Stary Rynek plus as a bonus I did the Citadel Park, Park Run which was less than 2km away I turned left out of the hotel and walked straight down the road. Piotr the owner is super friendly, helpful and speaks excellent English. You get three keys one to the front door, one to the room and one to your locker in the room so you can come and go as you please. The kitchen is well stocked with tea/coffee etc. There is a fridge and oven etc.
Good no-frills hotel on the western edge of Poznań, well placed for those with business in the hospital district or other parts of western Jeżyce. Our two-bed room was absolutely fine, though adding a crib (which they did for free) made it a bit cramped. Parking in the back costs extra, but is well worth it if you don't want to hunt for a spot, especially in the evening (there's none on Bukowska Street). The historical images of old Poznań/Posen on the wall by reception add a nice touch.
Great fantastic staff. Best features of this hotel.. a clock in the room..great touch! The black out curtains overlap so there’s no gap (great luxury), the desk in the room was set up with outlets for the computer next to the phone, great wifi, great satellite television, great bed. Food at breakfast was top notch. Parking in the cellar was great. Extra step for safety protection with only people with rooms allowed to access the elevator and cameras every where. All well done.
I love the location as it’s easy to walk into Poznan old town. The street car does run very close and is a little noisy but not too bad if you shut the windows and turn on the fan. They provide parking when possible which makes it so much better than any of the other hotels I’ve stayed at in the area. Also the breakfast room is cute as it can gets super relaxing and a great way to start the day
Friendly service by both the reception and restaurant staff. Clean, practical room. Good location in between Poznań Glowny and the city centre. Breakfast buffet was the highlight - awesome spread and far more variety than the usual budget hotel continental breakfast buffets - highly recommend adding it to your stay there!
Great breakfast, wide choice of food, very fresh and nicely presented. Hotel is close to the city centre and shoping center
Superb room quality, caring parking, very good location and friendly staff. There is a coffee machine in the lobby that you can use and there was an unexpected gift from the hotel. Big screen led tv.
Everything! The room was brilliant, really clean and nicely decorated. The bathroom had heated floors and the bed was super comfy. The staff were friendly and helpful. The location was perfect and right in the old town square. The hotel is linked to the Ratuszova restaurant downstairs, one of the best in the city.
The location is very good! You go out of the hotel and you are already walking in the nature, close-by the lake! Excellent for people who just need a hotel in normal price to be close to nature. It is also 17-20' from the city of Poznan by car. There was a free parking place for cars which was also very good.
That was my 5th time staying in Poznan and this hotel is the best one among all that I stayed in.
Superb room quality, caring parking, very good location and friendly staff. There is a coffee machine in the lobby that you can use and there was an unexpected gift from the hotel waiting for us at the arrival.
Very central location close to all the cool sites in the old town. Walking distance to Cathedral Island and to many great options for eating out. We even had the only Christmas market directly infront of the hotel. Clean rooms, beautiful foyer, nice showers- very nice stay in the best part of Poznań
The best small boutique hotel I've ever visited so far!
Each room has its own unique design - it was all so well decorated! The location is perferct; parking is not that expensive comparing with other hotels nearby.
Welcome drinks and farewell cookies were quite a surprize)!
.Location of hotel... 5 min walk to markets and shopping centres...Big comfy beds. Clean hotel great rooms.. nice bar area in hotel. Had a meal in hotel and it was excellent. Hotel facilities brilliant. Would stay again if visiting poznan.
This was our absolute favourite hotel in ALL of our Europe stay.
Thank you so much for making our family holiday to Poland the best it could be.
If we could turn back time we would have stayed here longer.
Will definitely be back!!
Very conveniently located, right outside the airport terminal (5-minute walk), 24-hour reception, comfortable rooms, gargantuan breakfast, very kind staff - recommended for late arrival, early take-off at Poznan airport.
Location was fantastic, really close to Poznan Old Town, tram stop just few steps from the place. Most of interesting places are on a walkable distance. Neighbourhood looks kinda dull and old but you can live with it.
Very nice and clean hotel, very cozy as well. Great location, close to the city center and train station (walking distance). Very nice and helpful employees. Deffinitely my first choice for the next visit in Poznan
Super cozy and comfy hostel at a great location. The fact that it is a queer friendly place makes it very special, not only in Poznan but in the whole of Poland.
