A really dreamlike place. Clean, bright, elegant, comfortable, with lovely staff and a fantastic breakfast spread. I would stay for weeks -- in fact, I would come to Hemsedal just to stay there again.

Sauna, nice comfy beds, so close to slopes. Quick tip: if you think sauna does not heat up, you probably turned it on wrong. If you set a timer for 4h or so , that means the sauna will be hot in 4h. Just for info as people here wrote that sauna did not work many times for them. Zero problems and we used it a lot

It was nice to have a wood heater with all the necessary supplies in the middle of the living room. Host provided some stuff that we forgot to pack. Blankets were really warm and cozy for a winter night.

I was very happy with a friendly and helpful hotel reception and a well informed manager. I had been upgraded to a better room at their initiative. Happy with that! And a very good breakfast - much more than I need in the morning. Great location for a ski vacatiion with ski area shuttlebus stopping close by if you need it. You can take your last run all the way down close to the hotel. Good local restaurants and bars very close by - less than a minute out the door. The hotel used to be the local hub before new construction at the resort base was developed. I have skied and arranged many ski trips with friends and colleagues to Hemsedal since 1986, staying at the hotel on several occasions and have many good memories from after ski and dinners at the hotel amongst the other possibilities "downtown" Hemsedal.

Love Hemsedal! Perfect ski resort. Good facilities. Have skied there a lot both down hill and cross country. Love the international feel. Great sports and interior stores. In general very friendly people. Nothing negative comes to mind!

You know Las Vegas has The Strip you go and find all the casinos, well Hemsedal also has The Strip, but it is all they have. You can find everything from real estate, clothing stores, grocery store, different restaurant and hotels + gas station. They also have the start for the adventure park as well were you jump on the zip line over the river. You can also take the paths along the river and look at the adventures in the park. Hemsedal I known for the skiing, but you can do things here all year. hikes to Skogshorn or other mountain rages. Enjoy your trip, were it might lead you.M.OnaNorway - 10Scored 10

Perfect for skiing, hiking, walking trails, mountain biking, climbing, fishing. a good few restaurants and shops to visit. You can walk to most locations but if you use a car you can get to the best hiking spots.

Hemsedal was absolutely beautiful as well as quiet.
Hemsedal was absolutely beautiful as well as quiet. There are some long lines for the surface lift at the very bottom of the mountain but that is to be expected - otherwise I found most lifts had little to no wait. The locals and staff are very kind!

Apartment is located in the center of Hemsedal - shops, ski bus stop and tourist information are all only a few steps away. One of the slopes ends across the street from the apartment. Apartment is nice and cozy, everything you need is there. Some of the appliances may not look like new but everything is clean and works fine. Great place for the price! We were also able to get early check in with a very reasonable price, so thank you for that! :)

The breakfast was lovely, the rooms are nice and the spa is so relaxing after a day skiing, we used it most days on our 1 week holiday! I would 100% recommend this hotel! I would suggest having a car if staying at this hotel though as we ate in the town most nights and I can imagine taxis aren’t cheap!
