We love the architecture of Valletta, the maze of it's narrow streets with wonderful quirky shops, bars and restaurants.
In some places you can literally feel you have travelled back in time. The history is stunning too, going back to the 14/ 1500's and there are lots of museums to help you research.
The Maltese people are some of the friendliest I have ever met and the fact they nearly all have good command of English which is an added bonus ( although it is good to try a few phrases of Maltese!)
We have had 4 x 2 week holidays in Valletta and feel we have just scratched the surface of things to see and do. We'll definitely be back!🙂

Easily walkable and the bus station offered many bus routes to get to other places within Malta at a cheap cost. The architecture is beautiful so would recommend a tour guide the explain some of the background so you can appreciate the history of the city.

I think 4-5 days is probably about right. We loved the history, the architecture, the public transport system and ferries which made it easy to get about. Beware the ferries are often disrupted if there are high winds which is fairly frequently in April. Don't miss the co - cathedral, the 4pm battery salute, the Lasaris war rooms, Cafe Cordina. There is a great view from the M&S Cafe on the 4th Floor in Sliema. The people are friendly and helpful. I felt very safe.

I liked Valletta: It has a lot of interesting historical points, its own style of architecture and was full of character. The place is relatively small and therefore accessible to a fit person. There are streets which are made up of steps.
The city has many excellent bars and restaurants as well as small grocery shops. It also has a couple of theatres. The city is clean and safe.
There is a very good public bus service connecting the city with the rest of the island.

A perfectly sized walkable city well connected to the rest of the island via handy transport options. Bathed in history and full of superb dining and entertainment options, much to explore, discover and enjoy.
I had a beautiful room (#16) which was large and tastefully decorated. The rooftop pool/bar area was excellent - intimate and extremely well staffed. The umbrellas provided excellent shade. The hotel is in an excellent part of Valletta - away from the partying noise from late night bars and clubs but still only 5 minutes walk from them should one wish to reveal in the atmosphere at ground level. Cleanliness of the hotel generally was outstanding.
A high class hotel not far from the crowded inner city of Valletta. Clean rooms, very friendly staff. The Osborne Hotel is located in the town centre of the city of Valletta but you will not notice, how busy Valletta during the summertime is as the location of the hotel is a little outside of the inner city. Nice and quite place to relax after visiting all the beautiful places around Malta.
Good place for people who want to live in city centre and don't wanna pay much for hotel, everything you need is close and you don't need to waste your time to get from one place to another. Living in such an old building has such atmosphere, I miss this place, it has its spirit.
We haven't used kitchen, but for sure it's a big advantage to have it
Towels, shower gel available
The location is ideal. You're right in the old town of Valletta, very easy access to restaurants, shopping, the ferries. The host is super nice and helpful. He even provided adapters so we could use our US plugs. And he answered any questions we had about Malta. There's a kitchette, so we could eat inside sometimes.
Beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Valletta -- exactly what we wanted, with plenty of space for three adults sharing a room. It was walkable to everything we wanted to see in Valletta and we were able to park our rental car nearby. The breakfast was excellent! Thank you to the gracious staff for a lovely stay!
Excellent location, amazing view from the room and from the breakfast terrace on the rooftop, old historical building with modern facilities, even if the traditional atmosphere is well preserved. Very friendly and helpful receptionists. We really enjoyed Malta and Castille Hotel and we hope we will come back soon!
The hotel's location was the best! It was on one of the pedestrian only streets in the most wonderful city of Valleta. The host/desk clerk and all the hotel staff were so friendly and helpful. A restaurant that serves very good and reasonably priced Maltan specialties, is located on the ground floor of the hotel.
Awesome hotel, in a very central location in Valletta. The room is modern and the breakfast is very good, from starbucks. The staff is also very nice, I had to leave before the breakfast hours to go to the airport and they separated what they could for us to be able to eat something before leaving.
Great location, beautiful and well- appointed room (felt like a luxury hotel) and scrumptious and ample breakfast. It is tucked away in the center of Valletta and easy walking distance to all of the places we wanted to visit. The staff was very outgoing and helpful. I would gladly stay again.
in the heart of the old town, in an old building of authentic Maltese architecture, this mini hotel is the right choice to evoke the spirit of old Valletta. breakfast is served in a restaurant not far from there and the staff is very friendly
We travelled with our baby to Malta and stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. The staff was very friendly and courteous. The hotel is huge and offers plenty of space.
Wifi connection was great and accessible everywhere.
The hotel itself is stunning. The reception areas, the rooms, the rooftop. The location is ideal, although bear in mind it is a city centre hotel so expect a little noise and limited balcony space (if any)
The apartment included kitchen and it was spacious. We were in the top floor so the elevator was handy. The location made it great to walk around the city of Valletta and discover the capital of Malta.
Brilliant location, central enough, but also quite quiet. Very generous and tasty breakfasts, and friendly helpful staff. Loved the rooftop pool and sun loungers, a real bonus in the city centre.
Great location, a short walk into the city centre. It’s great to have access to swim in the sea from the hotel. The hotel is very clean although it’s very dated.
In a very good location in Valletta. Warm staff. Clean rooms. Very good breakfast. Coffee available all the times free. We are very happy to stay in this hotel.
