Amazing stay! Bobby was a great host. The penthouse and the terrace-side is located on the quiet side of the (already quiet) town. Sun is available all day. The commodities are great! Squeaky clean and all recourses are available. It’s a 5 minute walk to the boulevard and 2 minutes to the Spar (supermarket). Busses go once an hour, so we were happy with our rental car.

The apartment was beautiful, spacious and well equipped. The views from the wrap-around balcony were spectacular. Lisa was the perfect host - nothing was too much trouble for her.

This is a perfect place to base yourself for a vacation in Malta. Marsaxlokk is a pretty fishing village with a great Sunday market and lots of quality restaurants. I would definitely recommend staying here rather than one of the resort towns such at St Paul's or St Julian's.

A beautiful fishing village with great fresh fish restaurants and good local boat trips. A daily market and a fish market on Sundays but very busy to get to by bus on a Sunday due to high demand. Great walks.

This is a charming traditional fishing village, most people eat fish which is locally caught. The harbour front is used for a daily market and is transformed at night with most restaurants having tables on the waterfront. There are regular bus services to the capital Valetta, this takes around an hour at busy times, but 35 minutes when quiet. The buses also run to the airport. The town is served by a large Spar supermarket and scattered shops selling food drink, bottled water (essential as the tap water is chlorinated and not drinkable) Do visit the Sunday market, great value for money. The pavements can be uneven. The people are friendly and helpful. Our favourite restaurant was Roots on the seafront, prices were reasonable and the fish freshly caught. The portions are big, loved their chips too.

Pretty fishing village with lots of restaurants on the sea...
Pretty fishing village with lots of restaurants on the sea front. Market stalls during they day selling local food and Maltese craftwork and souvenirs. Magnificent church, inside and out. Village is prettily lit up at the seafront in the evening. There are some boat trips to take you to other parts of Malta. Being a fishing village, most of the restaurants were fish/seafood focussed, and a little on the expensive side (in my opinion) - so if you're not into fish there is very little choice. Good bus service to allow you to go to other towns, villages and Valetta. Also a regular bus service to/from airport.

Located just off the waterfront n a tranquil street.
Located just off the waterfront n a tranquil street. My room had a balcony and the breakfast room overlooked the harbour. The harbour is picturesque and bustling on market day.The staff were wonderful and i appreciated a shelf of book swap items. Every detail was thought of. I highly recommend this place.
Great location, nice and quiet accomodation.
It is called 'guesthouse' but it's a hotel, with the advantages of the hotel.
Beautiful room, big, comfortable beds.
Breakfast at the covered rooftop with the view of the harbour.
Very nice staff.
Our room was on the first floor and we had a private balcony (no view but very hidden from everything, good to sit outside)
Good breakfast!
Wonderful stay in Marsaxlokk, perfect for chilling. Great location, just 5 minute walk from the lovely harbour area with it's great choice of good restaurants . Lovely walking trails around Marsaxlokk bay. 2 minute walk from Spar grocery and drinks store. Apartment was clean and well equipped. Very friendly and helpful Zzzing staff when we had to contact them.
The location of the property is superb for walking around Marsaxlokk and getting to its many restaurants and bars. The apartment is finished to a very high standard and is very clean. Beds are very comfortable and bathrooms are finished to a very high standard. The hosts, Mariella and Roland are very warm, kind people and extremely helpful.
Marsaxlokk is a lovely small town. This was a return visit.
Sayonara is well located at one end of the town.
The host lives on site.
The property is excellent - fist floor, but there is a stair life should this be needed.
Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. Excellent kitchen. Laundry room. Lovely balcony.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at South Wind Guest House. Rooms are spacious, clean and stylish. Breakfast caters for different tastes with a nice mix of salty and sweet. Staff are kind and helpful. Hotel location is fantastic, very close to the promenade and with a lovely view over the water from the terrace.
The host is extremely nice and accommodating, making sure you have you have everything you need. Breakfast was amazing. We only stayed for one night but still, he made sure we didn't miss out on the blue grotto and the charming port of Marsaxlokk. Thank you so much for showing us around Salvu!
The staff are very kindly and helpful. The breakfast is fine and we can choose from custom varieties. The room is clean and the bed is comfortable. The location of the hotel at the best point of the village. The landmark from the hotel rooftop teŕace is beautiful and you can find a pool here.
Very well located in Marsaxlokk and also very modern, you can tell that the owner put a lot of soul into it and probably a lot of money too!😄
Breakfast was exceptionally good and varied, Michael and Ian very attentive to their guests.
Ian gave us some great visiting tips.
Wonderful property, warm, hospitable hosts, great breakfasts! Great set-up for a beach and foodie holiday; Marsaxlokk has the best seafood we’ve ever eaten. Duncan Guest House provided everything we needed for a fantastic stay in southern Malta!
We just had a stay for few hours for the night because we had to leave early morning to catch our flight. We could not get breakfast, but the hotel staff replaced it with some tea bags and a bottle of wine. Which was fine by me.
spacious apartment, kitchen facilities, location - close to sea and amazing Marsaxlokk boat port.
Friendly and pleasant hosts.
Nearby bus stops - excellent bus network , but it is necessary to calculate with bus delay
The location is very nice, right on the seafront. The best part of all was the rooftop terrace with views of the beautiful harbour. The town of Marsaxlokk is a nice place to stay with many restaurants and a daily market.
The room was very nice, it has a small balcony with an ocean view, the price was really favorable, although the breakfast was always the same it was okay. I would choose that hotel if I would travel again to Malta.
we stayed 6 nights at the Shipwright’s Lodge. Absolutely fantastic. Fabulous location in Marsaxlokk. quiet. comfortable beds. Great breakfast. Quaint family run and new and fabulously clean. Highly recommended.
Really nice, small hotel. Nicest of the five places I stay in Malta. About a block from the ocean. Room had a balcony but the breakfast room had a fantastic view of the harbor. Nice continental breakfast.
Comfortable and quiet place to stay in Marsaxlokk, few steps from the waterfront. Beautiful views of the harbor from the breakfast room. Plenty of street parking around the accommodation in mid-September.
