Excellent location. Just minutes away from metro station, KTX station, intercity bus terminal, and popular bus stop. My room had a sizable bathtub, a rarity for the given price. The flat does not have a laundry machine, but there is a coin laundry shop just 15 meters across the street.

I spent only one day/night in Daegu and I wish so badly that I stayed longer! City is very well connected; I traveled from Busan with a train (45min) and then took a flight from Daegu to Jeju Island (1,5hr), both were very easily manageable. I wish I had more time here because the city was beautiful. It was very clean, new looking, the historic buildings/places looked well taken care of and most importantly, the PEOPLE! I traveled solo and I've been to 9 different cities in Korea and I feel like people here were the kindest. I don't expect anyone to help me with a suitcase, find the right bus stop etc, but people here just offered their help without me asking. It felt very nice as I haven't experienced this in other cities unless I asked for help. In general, people in Korea were extremely friendly and accommodating but I could definitely feel a difference between Seoul and Daegu for example.
There seems to be a lot to do from museums, galleries, shopping to parks and hiking; and the city is somewhat walkable, but in general, I find the buses in Korea very reliable and easy to use. There is also a metro which I haven't used but it's going across the whole city.
If you do not speak Korean or do not read Hangul, I wouldn't stress as it seemed like everyone in Daegu (regardless of their age) spoke English very well.
I didn't get a chance to try lot of local food options as I am vegetarian, which was a struggle in Korea sometimes, however there were plenty of vegetarian and vegan places here.
I will definitely spend more time in Daegu next time I visit Korea as I fell in love!

I was charged double for my stay.
I was charged double for my stay. Both charges were made on my credit card in advance of my arrival. Booking.com indicated that my credit card was added to the booking simply to hold the room in advance. I reserved the rooms for myself and 2 colleagues anticipating that my colleagues would be able to pay for themselves for their portion of the bill once we arrived. Now I have a big mess to fix at work Reimbursements for this visit will be comlicated and depend on the honestly of my colleagues whose rooms were charged to my visa card. I'm really disappointed that the hotel insisted on charging my card not only before our arrival, but TWICE before our arrival. I don't know why this booking has completely disappeared from my account in Booking.com either. So there seems to be no way now for me to contact the hotel owner/manager about this problem (of double charges). I will never use this site or this hostel again.

It's a provincial city and as such is less exposed to foreign interaction. The people are very accommodating and understanding of this.
The parks and riverside walks are breathtaking. The temples are profound.

The business owners we met really cared and converse easily about a wide range of topics so we felt welcomed. The quality and price of the goods was excellent. Public transport was convenient and fast, we went to the temple 50 kms away by bus and it was a short jaunt to Busan by train. We liked the museums and historical artifacts in the parks. The markets were eye candy.

We went to Daegu to see the red maple leaves and yellow ginkgo leaves. We found The Keimyung University (KMU), Daegu a very good site for seeing these autumn leaves, especially when these trees were growing by the side of the beautiful buildings of the university. It is also very convenient to get there since it is right by the side of a subway station.
We also went to Palgongsan, where the scenery with the autumn leaves was also amazing.
The staff at the front desk were incredibly friendly and welcoming. It was very easy to get around with English as a foreigner staying at this hostel. We stayed in the private room with bathroom and it was great value for money. A super cosy, clean and affordable room for those on a budget. The location is superb as you are in walking distance from downtown Daegu. This hostel has one of the best (and cleanest) rooftop views I have seen in all of Korea.
We were visiting Daegu for my daughter to take an exam at the nearby International School. The school was very close, which was nice. If you are headed to the airport, you couldn't ask for a more convenient location. Be prepared, as you are so close to the airport, you do get airplane noise until they stop running, which I believe was around 11pm. We didn't have any noise after that time.
The location of the hotel is perfect. It's right in the centre, close to restaurants, bars, shops and metro/buses to get you anywhere. Apart from that everything was clean and functional. Another good thing was that the airconditioning was relatively quiet. Also, cleaning of the room happens only once every 4 days which I think is a very good sustainable initiative.
The hotel was very clean, unique, and had plenty of space for our family of five. The rooms had a mini fridge, large bathroom, computers to game on, and two TVs. We loved it!
The only downside is the location is a ways from downtown and the breakfast had minimal selection. That being said, the breakfast area was stocked and clean everyday
This property was super clean, the rooms were spacious & spotless. The facilities like the gym and pool were closed due to COVID but it’s still an excellent hotel. Starbucks & subway less than a minute walk from the facility. Great location near the center of Daegu, can see the Ferris Wheel from hotel. Staff was super nice & accommodating.
The position is perfect to enjoy central Daegu.
The room is a traditional Korean Hanok house, beautiful and clean.
The host has been super friendly and helpful, speaks perfect English, and even gave us a ride to the station on our last day! Honestly, if you want a nice Korean experience of a traditional Hanok house, look no further!
This hotel was really great! There was honestly everything you need in the room and even on the first floor. The bed was so comfortable and I loved that you can control the lights by a few ways.
The location was nice too! It’s close to the shopping district and many other cool attractions.
The hotel has an excellent location if you arrive by train, you can actually walk. You can take a 5 minute walk and be in the nearest subway station. The staff is very nice and friendly and the hotel is very nice and clean with very specious rooms.
hotel is in a great spot and the amenities are great, shower stuff all in there and lotion and a whole other kit for other items that you may need and a GS right there at the lobby floor, short walk to downtown as well and great restaurants nearby
Our stay at Chan Guest house was lovely, we were welcomed with such friendliness and ease. The space is lovely and has a great view. It was great to experience a more traditional stay than an Airbnb or hotel. We will be back!
The hotel had great access to the metro and it was easy to find when we first went to it. The room was big and the bed were really comfortable. We enjoyed the bath so much because it's hard finding a place with a big bath.
A brilliant hotel with a great location. Reasonably priced with attentive and professional staff. The room was spacious, very clean and the bed very comfortable. I will come here again.
Good location - close to DongDaegu Station; good in-house dining options - great breakfast buffet at Urban Kitchen; clean, orderly room; friendly, helpful hotel staff.
