The breakfast was generous and full of choice. Dinner at the restaurant was nothing short of outstanding. The staff were extremely professional. Parking was arranged quite easily. It was a pleasure to stay here

Everything was so perfect during our stay! The host - Silvia - is exceptional, she catered to all our needs and gave many good recommendations. The location is very good as well - central, but not too noisy, even in the mornings. Our room was very clean and comfy, there is a terrace for common use upstairs. The breakfast is in a cafe nearby, with a selection of pastry which was good. Highly recommended!

Giulia was an exceptional host who went out of her way to assist us. The room was sparkling and exceeded expectations. Trani itself is a locals only resort, and was an absolute pleasure in late May. You need a little bit of Italian language to get the best from the local area.

Trani is a fabulous town, a must visit if you are in Puglia.
Trani is a fabulous town, a must visit if you are in Puglia. Trani has loads of different restaurants and fabulous clothes shops. Try to have dinner on the Port of Trani and watch the fisherman bring in their catch and sell it on the side of the port near the Cathedral of Trani. The terrace bar at the Ognassi Hotel is very special and totally worth a visit too.

We arrived out of the main tourist season, the town was quiet, however food & drink was plentiful. We visited the Castle & Cathedral late on in the day, but we enjoyed the experience, especially the climb up the Bell Tower, 258 steps, however worthwhile, the views were outstanding. Great pizza at Art'e L'Arcimboldo Pizza Cafe!!

Pearl of the Adriatic coast. Full of life (restaurants, bars, parks and seaside walking path). Perfect location for the discovery of northern Puglia (Gargano, Castel del Monte, other nice towns like Barletta, Molfetta).

Diverting to Puglia was a last-minute decision for us, and we were not disappointed. Trani is a small but bustling city with good train access, a few sites of historical interest, and a fabulous harbor to the Adriatic Sea. Because it was not high season, when the tour busses left their day-stops, we felt like two of only a few tourists left in town. Trani is the place to go if you are a seafood lover. At dusk, the fishing boats pull into the harbor, back up to the dock, and offer up their daily catch. Locals browse from boat to boat, loading up on whatever looks best, and restaurant patrons feast on the freshest of fresh fish and shellfish that evening. We had an incredible meal at Osteria ai Platani (highly recommend). Had we planned this stop, we'd have stayed at least one more night for the food, wine, and ambiance alone.

We didn't really explore Trani except to walk to the port for a drink after we had arrived. We had a lot of trouble finding the hotel when we first arrived as the name on our booking was different to the name on the hotel, which caused some confusion and delays in checking in. The port area was pleasant to visit but the hotel was situated near the train station and we had to walk through small, narrow roads to reach the port.

We visited the city during the hottest period of the year (40 degrees) and the air-conditioning kept the room cool all the time. The bed was very comfortable. The host, Nicola, was very friendly and ready to help with any problem or request, including about breakfast options. It was exactly what we wanted. I highly recommend it if you are planning to stay in Trani.

It is also very close to Trani, but without the parking difficulties that come with staying in the city itself. He even parked the car for us and helped with the luggage. We got directions to all of Trani attractions and restaurants. Trani was for us a stop on the road from Salerno to Alberobello, but with the help of Marco we found the city to be very pleasent. After chaotic days in Rome, Trani was good for the soul and eyes!
