Everyone at all the restaurants, cafes, bars, restaurants and our hotel were all really friendly and accommodating. Much better than some other places in Italy. Very laid back place with lots of interesting things to see and do. Easy to walk around. There’s even a small ferry that takes you across the canal in about 30 seconds for 50 cents! The lidos (beach clubs) are not too expensive. €15 total for 2 chairs and an umbrella for the day for two people. All the staff I met were extremely courteous. Great location to stay, and the best attraction is Mirabilandia. I would say that this area is the best to stay in if you are visiting Mirabilandia and San Marino. the beach nearby is not so beautiful but still acceptable for sunbathing

The weather was great, so many things to see, restaurants to try. Cesenatico definitely caters more to local families with children- lots of family friendly restaurants, most of the beach huts had playgrounds, everyone was so friendly, no loud drunks partying until the early hours of the morning. We went to Bahama Village every lunchtime for the spaghetti con Vongole- so good!! Definitely book a table at Baan Thai for the most authentic and delicious Thai food!
