Peggie was a lovely host, friendly and casual. The house and room was clean, bright, comfortable, airy. Very quiet and private. Facilities, wifi, tv, towels and bed all perfect. A lot of pride in the breakfast, many options. Close to Bantry and other areas in West Cork. There is a nice dog too you might catch outside.

Downtown Bantry has many places of interest and is typical of an Irish village. Every Friday there is a market on the main square. It has all the amenities a person needs. A number of good pubs and restaurants. The food at the Brick Oven is really good. Very friendly people. The Connection has all the high-tech equipment a traveler might need.

I liked that we were in a rural area but close to everything. We enjoyed horseback riding, hiking on Sheep's Head, the pubs, restaurants, and shopping. There was an excellent Italian restaurant with great pizza. The butcher was excellent, and we enjoyed shopping at SuperValu.

Spoilt by all the food and drinking venues.
Bantry House well worth a visit.
West Lodge and the Maritime are both great hotels... Good for popping in for lunch or just a drink: very friendly.

Bantry is an excellent base for exploring West Cork and beyond. It remains a traditional old-style rural town full of shops and pubs, locally named. Not very touristy. There's a sense of Irish history about it. It has a a very good Tourist Office and a fine new main square. A very good day to be there is a Friday, market day...excellent for every kind of locally made & grown produce. Bantry grows on you, especially the natural friendly warmth of its people. So, stay a while.

The Snug restaurant - superb bar food , good menu
Very friendly and welcoming. Very knowledgable about local tourist spots. Lovely breakfast and plenty of options - gluten free, sugar free. Great location - very close to Bantry and Glengariff with a beautiful view of the Bay. Lavender scented sheets felt so luxurious and cosy! Plenty of toiletries in the bathroom - perfect for longer stays or if you forgot anything. Really loved the herbal tea selection in the bedroom. All these little touches made us feel so at home. Thank you so much for a great stay. We will definitely be back
Huge selection for breakfast all very good quality and efficient service.
Our hostess took time to advise us on things to do in the area with full details and instructions - that was really helpful.
I loved the 'country house' feel while still modern enough to be spotlessly clean and warm and comfortable.
Excellent view over the bay.
Good location for travelling.
Voilá...3 very happy customers !!
Edencrest is situated just off the N71 some 2km outside Bantry. Our room was very clean and comfortable and the breakfast worthy of special mention for both quantity and quality. Bantry is an ideal place to use as a centre for touring the area particularly around the Beare Peninsular and along Bantry Bay and information on places to eat and visit was plentiful.
We stayed in the Bantry Bay for one night and it was a great stay. Staff were so friendly and helpful, while both our dinner and breakfast were fabulous. I would highly recommend anyone even passing by to stop there for food!
Only negative was the shower was scalding hot and could not be lowered, uncomfortable during a heatwave!
lovely traditional hotel, bedrooms very comfortable and sea view from bay window, dinner was delicious, could have chosen many options from the menu, it all sounded very tasty, breakfast equally good. above all the staff are wonderful, so helpful, professional and friendly. second time staying, and will be back.
This was a perfect stay in Bantry! Barbara was a lovely host, the room was even better than in the pictures and we enjoyed a lovely breakfast each day, with many options. The view at sunset was amazing, facing the bay and to get into the town centre was only a 15 min walk. Would definitely stay here again.
The studio was beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. The host was very welcoming and truly generous with all the small touches that make travel feel like home. We are looking forward to returning to the Paris Rooftop Studio in Bantry in the future.
Spacious room, especially the bathroom was huge, it really felt like in a 4 star or 5 star Hotel. Huge TV with Netflix, spa bath tub, spacious shower. I would come back just for the bathroom. Breakfast was delicious and the host was friendly.
Clearly the best located hotel in the town of Bantry. Parking was easy in underground car park and the hotel is well appointed.
Bedroom was smart and bed good although a little springy.
Breakfast was fast and met our expectations.
Our family room was spacious, with a table and even balcony, which opened out to a beautiful view. The host was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was superb--the best we had in our 2 weeks in Ireland!
The house has personality and it was a very calm place. Its location is at the end of a typical West Cork narrow roadway with grass growing in the middle! Lake views and facing the setting sun too!
The hosts are amazingly friendly and helpful, offering to bring guests to the bus and giving great information about Bantry. The location makes it a pleasant 10 min walk into the centre
Sunsets from the garden looking out over Bantry Bay to Beara. You could not buy this. Great location only a few (3.6) I’m outside Bantry and at the start of Sheep’s Head peninsula.
