Nice room, a little small, but comfortable. Breakfast was very continental but then the guests seem to be mainly from Germany so I can't complain. The food was OK, but then there are so many nice restaurants around it is hard to complete. The staff were all very friendly and the bar on the hotel beach was excellent.
Facing the beachfront, Enorme Santanna Beach offers 4-star accommodation in Ierápetra and has a seasonal outdoor swimming pool, fitness centre and garden.

Where do I start - we truly enjoyed our holidays at Enorme Santanna Beach Hotel. The facilities and rooms have very nice, clean design. From the hotel there is a nice view to the city and mountains. Hotel is located next to the beach which is fully equipped beach with comfortable sunbeds and beach bar. The beach is rocky - black rock and sand beach, but I really liked the character of the beach. Although the sea bottom itself is rocky, still it is possible to comfortably enter it and swim. Food was excellent - fresh and delicious, I especially enjoyed breakfast and dinner, it’s wide variety of different cusines and desserts were outstanding. The staff is friendly, kind and always ready to help you, so for the hotel staff itself I give 10/10. You are great and doing a great job there! As this was the first part of our trip and we did not want to do anything much just sunbathe on the beach and relax, we found this a perfect choice.

We stayed at several locations in Crete and this was by far the best one. The host is amazing and welcoming, while the apartment is just perfect. Very spacious, clean, close to the beach, with everything you could possibly need (including a washing machine, which was so helpful).
I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone coming to the area.

It’s a small town that has the most amazing beaches. Has loads of tavernas to try different food every night. I love the fact it’s full of Greeks and not too many tourists for a more genuine experience

Lerapetra is not one of the main tourist destinations on Crete but well worth a visit.
There are more than enough restaurants and bars along the seafront, with a nice compact centre of town.
Only thing to note is that with the closure of Chrissi Island, there are effectively no tourist trips from Lerapetra. For this you would need to travel to the north side of the island.

The town is awful!
The town is awful!
Almost all the restaurants and cafeterias were closed.
We were looking for a park for our son to play and we only found one in the whole town. It was dirty, smelly and full of kids so my child could not play there.
Never coming back again!

Ierapetra -as a city- is not very beatiful, although the beach/port route is quite good.
However, it is the perfect place for visiting some of the most beautiful beaches in the world, including "Kakkos", "Psaropoula", "Agia Fotia", "Achlia", "Psari Forada" and others - since it is located in front of the Libyan Sea. You can also visit "Chryssi" - an worldwide known exotic island just near by, and at the same time you have access to extremely high quality (and low cost) food.

We stayed in Ierapetra for just 24 hours. We found that city was much developed, in a good meaning. Dedicated streets for pedestrians and bikes, updated sea walk area. Please visit "Casablanca" all day cafe-restaurant, with very good coffee (Fredo) and very tasty international and local dishes.

Authentic Greek town with really nice, friendly atmosphere where you can live and feel yourself a part of it.
Great eating out options, pastries, amazing shopping and welcoming, pleasant Greek people!
Apostolis, our host was exceptional and very thoughtful, nothing was too much trouble. kept in touch via messaging to ensure all our needs were met, even caught up with us at a Zorba's restaurant, whilst out socially himself. Apostolis is a well respected member of the community within Ierápetra and quickly makes you feel like a local.
He offered excellent recommendations on resurants and places to visit. A text message was occasionally followed by a box of Cretan treats left our door for breakfast.
We had the best stay at Elpida’s house!!
It is perfect for a calm and authentic experience in a traditional cretan village. The house is really beautiful, clean and spacious as in the pictures.
The welcome treat with wine and fruits was lovely and the communication with Irini was very good, she was always very helpful!
The location is great to visit Ag. Nicolaos, Sitia and Ierapetra. In summer you can access beautiful beaches easily!
We highly recommend it, we would definitely come back!!! 😊
beautiful hotel with many pools all around, 2 main ones accessible to all, others shared with other rooms, and others private. highly recommend to take a room with a shared pool! the wonderful staff! there is yoga 3 times a week on the beach, a wonderful spa with good massage, a golf car to take you up and down (the hotel is on a hill), amazing sunsets, and a good breakfast (especially the pineapple!!!)
Spacious, quiet, clean and plenty of facilities. Infrastructure pretty good like new. Surprised by the fact that coming back from the sea in a really hot day, when you are opening the door it is like you had air conditioning on. Obviously it is extremely well sealed. You can go swimming in two beaches by foot. It is very close to the harbour of Ierapetra and any needed market. Recommend for families.
Very beautiful resort. I love the design and all the details of the hotel very much. The staff was very friendly, especially at the reception and room service.
I didn't feel akward being there alone because there are a few single travellers.
I loved the movie nights and the popcorn!!
I didn't like my first room and they changed it asap when I complained about it. Very professional.
The common areas of the hotel are great and the staff is extremely welcoming and helpful. Some of the studios and rooms are not yet finished or properlh cleaned after the renovations and it is quite impossible or very expensive to reach from Chania airport and a bit far even from Heraklion airport.
quiet place a short distance from the old town, absolute cleanliness and comfortall- information on the site is true, the owners are kind people, a great starting point if you want to explore the eastern part of Crete and believe me there is much to see
Great staff and facilities. It has an amazing main pool and bar area. Breakfast was great:had many options including some Cretan products. The hotel offers some other additional pools which is also great. Their beach bar was simple beautiful.
We really enjoyed staying at Callista. The house has everything you need for a comfortable family holiday, and the owner is very kind and hospitable. It’s conveniently located close to Ierapetra but in a quieter area, which we enjoyed.
Perfect place for families with small kids: several playgrounds indoors and outdoors, kid animation staff, children-appropriate food from the buffet.
Right on the beach.
Location within walking distance to Ierapetra is perfect.
The location, the breakfast, ...; everything really! The hotel is located close to the sea front and is a quick walk away from restaurants and a pleasant beach.
The rooms were exceptionally clean.
Nice dual room apartment, very clean, new and modern furniture. Air conditioner available. Very nice external spaces with private car park and nice view on ierapetra and on night sky.
The hotel is right in the beach, the sea was incredible, very clean water.
The food in the restaurant is very delicious, full of different types of dishes and deserts.
I liked the design and the location of this hotel.
the stuff is very friendly and willing.
the breakfast is good and with a good variety and good coffee.
