The Townhouse Sutton, hotel in Sutton Coldfield

With modern, elegantly furnished rooms, The Townhouse Sutton is centrally located in the heart of Sutton Coldfield. This classic Georgian building still retains some of its original features.

Being so central really did help. The staff were quite friendly and it was also very good for the price. Being on top of a busy pub and restaurant I thought would have made it very noisy and I was a little apprehensive with this and a main road but I was delighted with how quiet it was. The room was also very nice with lots of coffee, tea etc.

Warm friendly greeting, my requests were met with no issue or questions I.e. ground floor room due to having a son that likes to jump up and down a lot to prevent any other guests being unhappy. Requested regards playing golf and early ride time to theme park and all said yes. Please note I had bought tickets separately. Restaurant team in brasserie are friendly and accommodating too for allergies and special needs and not forgetting the breakfast team. Room size for a standard room is massive and comfortable. Had a large bed with large sofa bed and slept through as it was very quiet as the hotel has a quiet rule from 10pm to 7pm which is great.

Waste of time to stay - go for the day to play golf but do not stay hotel was grubby - too busy and service was very poor. We wont ever ben returning. Our friends are big golfers and I will recommend the same to them to not waste their time staying there. would rather stay at a premier inn and know what I am getting for my money.

We enjoyed our 1 night stay after an early flight into Birmingham. Host was friendly and helpful. Rooms are extremely clean and beds are so comfy with soft bed linen that smelt beautiful, didn’t want to get out of bed. We would definitely stay again when visiting Sutton Coldfield

We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town.

We had travelled from Wales to Sutton - our home town. Sutton town centre itself has gone down the pan so much it was not good to see. If you are looking to go shopping there is not very much shop wise that is worth going to. We won't be back sadly. If you want a good meal it is worth going to Boldmere just outside Sutton where there are plenty of eateries of all kinds. We would highly recommend the Shaban for absolutely excellent Indian food and service. Sutton Park was still a lovely place to go for a coffee and long walk at Bracebridge.

Sutton is a lovely town with its beautiful park complete with wild ponies. There are some great restaurants in town and plenty of historically interesting sites, especially for Tudor period history buffs. It’s also close to Birmingham city centre which is easy to get to via the trainline

Our visit was purely to attend a family wedding, the wedding was fantastic and the couple did seem happy with the hotels assistance. The facilities for us as only used briefly were good, all staff interactions were good.

The Belfry is a large resort hotel. A real buzz around the golf centre, as you would expect. Our room was very good, spacious, clean, great view over the golf course. The bathroom had a fab shower and was modern and clean. Service in Sam's bar was tremendous. Breakfast was very well organised. And included poached eggs as part of the buffet offering, superb. All in all, a great hotel

Location was great as we were at the NEC Birmingham, for the HOYS exhibition. Breakfast was fair, as your staying at a farm hotel, you would expect farm quality, but the sausage was budget, bacon quite fatty and undercooked. Egg wasn't quite cooked enough and tomato was a little tough on the inside.

Staff were amazingly friendly and hospitable, made the stay an excellent experience. Room was great although the hotel is set out across a large footprint which I hadn't appreciated - as I have limited mobility I will ask to book a room nearer the main hub next time.
