It was right next to the lake ferry giving easy access to other parts of the lake. Vouchers were given for the car park very close by.
there was a great path, one mile long leading to Newby Bridge, where we sat outside by the river with a relaxing drink.

A pleasantly situated hotel on the river.
A pleasantly situated hotel on the river. Our room was large and overall comfy, with a great bed. However, we found the hotel overpriced particularly foodwise which we felt was of standard quality. We had numerous negative feelings and left a day earlier. The hotel did refund a days stay which was good of them. My husband and I have much experience of hotels, Food service, customer service and felt this hotel could be so much better if they revert to first class service. I would not choose to stay there again, sadly.

The only negative was that the lakeside allowed Dogs in the hotel. I love dogs but think when you go to an expensive hotel you don’t need dogs staying in the bedrooms.
The Huntsman pub was very good for food.
While we were eating our meal there were 3 dogs running around the pub and not under control.
This was bad owners not bad dogs.
Beautiful location
Modern rooms with great facilities (ironing board, tv in room, tea/coffee, biscuits, shower gel, shampoo etc). Very clean and spacious rooms. Large modern bathroom. The bar and restaurant is lovely and modern. We didn’t eat at the hotel but the food looked and smelt great. The views were beautiful of the lake on the other side of the road and it was very quiet. Staff were friendly. My husband and little 8 yo boy made use of the swimming pool and jacuzzi. Very Covid secure and would definitely recommend. We would stay here again.
Nice cosy B&B 20 min drive from Bowness-on-Windemere. The room was warm, which was a relief after getting wet during the day. Small bathroom but fine for a weekend. There is only a big overhead shower, no handheld one (personal preference). Colin was super nice and we were able to change our BF time to early morning so we could make the most of the day. He offers a good choice for BF with various cereals, musli, fruit, toast and English BF. Parking is easy on the property. I'd stay again.
Very modern, clean and comfortable. Very spacious and every thing required. Plenty of coat hangers in the wardrobes, very comfortable beds!! Lovely luxury bath sheets and hand towels. Kitchen/living area spacious and all kitchen items required for self catering. Laundry facilities great too!
Location is very good for visiting all towns nearby.
Rusland Pool pub/hotel has a great menu and Large petrol station nearby has supermarket and Costa!
Our stay was lovely! couldnt recommend Newby Bridge Caraven Park enough. After needing to change the date due to the loss of my Father the staff were so helpful. The caravan was lovely spacious and modern and the little touches of the bag of treats/toys for our dog and the bottles of prosecco on arrival were extremely thoughtful. This is the 2nd time i have stayed and will definately be back.
The staff were excellent ..very friendly and helpful.
But the hotel was a bit grim inside ...all plastic flowers and really terrible pictures. And even more of a problem was the menu for dinner : very, very restricted . There really should be more on offer than burgers and a couple of other dishes. My 'Greek salad' was laughable in terms of its portion and contents.
The staff were lovely very friendly & helpful. The room was comfortable. It has a beautiful outside space. The spa was lovely but an additional 45 per person. Breakfast was lovely and included in our stay costs. From the restaurant the creme brulee was delicious but I did think most of the menu was on the more expensive side but yes the food we had was good.
Spacious rooms (family room with bunkbed), free parking, free to use games room (air hockey, small pool table for kids), foosball, heated Swimming pool, Sauna rooms and Jacuzzi. Onsite Spa available but was fully booked, should book together when booking your hotel. Lakeside Pier & Lakes Aquarium are right at the doorstep. Wonderful staff, always smiling!!!
This is a lovely hotel with great spa packages and facilities. We stayed for a few nights and ate at the hotel restaurant once, the food was really good. The hotels in a good location for walks and a short drive to popular tourist attractions and hiking spots. We also had a spa package with afternoon tea which was lovely. I would recommend staying
The renovations, the setting, the pool, and the spa was amazing… what is not to love about this hotel?! 5* !!! We stayed in one of the new rooms and it was beautiful. The staff were super kind and responsive! We loved visiting Fell Foot, Windermere and the Beatrix Potter Museum! We can’t wait for our next trip!
Location of hotel to all attractions, brilliant staff
Who are always helpful and courteous.
Hotel well equipped for all requests no matter how small. Staff go the extra mile for guests.
Went for piece and quiet and got exactly that.
Breakfast was great lots of choice, although it was a set buffet menu for dinner, it did have plenty of choice .
There was plenty of vegetarian options.
The room was large and spacious, and very clean.
Also plenty of tea/coffee .
A thoroughly restful stay over Easter. A good range in the evening menu, and an excellent breakfast to set one up for the day. The hotel and restaurant staff were willing and efficient.
Beautiful Hotel with character. Friendly and helpful staff both on the phone and in person. Window opened. Great Location. Would book again and this time use the pool.
Loved the staff. They were amazing. Leanne, Derrick and many others.
Loved the environment. Beautiful hotel and restaurant
Loved the hotel spa. Just fabulous.
