We didn't explore the area on the Spanish side of the border...
We didn't explore the area on the Spanish side of the border but did have a great time in Gibraltar. If you do go to Gibraltar I would recommend doing on the taxi tours up the rock to all the sights and where the Apes are. Once you have done that you can walk back down into the town and explore that area too. It saves a lot of walking and the commentary is great to get some history and background of Gibraltar.

We wanted to visit Gibraltar but decided to stay in La Linea...
We wanted to visit Gibraltar but decided to stay in La Linea de la Concencion as it was easy to get there - and this was the best decision:). Very nice and cute town, much quiter, better food and with better value for money than in Gibraltar:)

Great place to visit.
Great place to visit. The evening more than the day as there is a large selection of cafes bars and restaurants open until late with so many options. We spent the days in Gibralta and evenings in La Linea

It is a great choice if you want to visit Gibraltar, stay here any walk to the border for like 10-15 mins. It is located in La Linea, a very lively town. You can find everything in, it eating, drinking, barber shop, etc. The reception men are all friendly. Generally it is clean, especially the toilets. Wifi working well, in room and in common area. It offers you the possibility to bring your own food and eat it in the common area.

Sergio met us to let us into the underground parking and take us to the apartment. He also showed us where to find groceries and gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation in La Linea. The apartment was clean and looked as it does in the pictures. I definitely recommend this property!
