We did not go sightseeing, were there for a wedding and I want to give a shout out to Wesley who worked at front desk, he was our savior, we arrived at the hotel by Taxi and we thought as everywhere else they accept card but the driver did not accept card and would not talk English, my husband offered him $40, our fair was only 9 euros. So Wesley helped us and always greeted everyone with smile.

One of the most beautiful cities I've seen, a lot bigger than I expected. Love the sights of Signal Iduna Park, U tower, Christmas market, the big mall galerie, the arhitecture, the streets and the buildings, people were pleasant and helped every time I needed some help. It's a pitty I didn't stay for more days to explore more of the city but the 2 days I've been there were trully magneficent.

We came for the Klassiker BVB v Bayern.
We came for the Klassiker BVB v Bayern. It was an amazing experience. We flew into Cologne (After 6 hour flight delay and got train to Dortmund. I can't believe that German train service renowned for punklichkeit is now worse than UK! UBahn was excellent.
On Sunday we enjoyed the medieval market and a very good breakfast before getting another late train back to Cologne.
I would have liked to have had more time to see more of Dortmund, but DB and Ryanair had other ideas.

We enjoyed Dortmund (except for the train station), but had difficulty getting there. We were going specifically for a soccer game, and had tickets in hand. My son is a big fan of BVB - Borussia Dortmund. We were going by train from Cologne to Dortmund, and thought we had plenty of time to get there. The game was starting at 15:30. Unfortunately, we were delayed by circumstances in Cologne, and just missed the train we had planned on. We still had time to get there by taking the next train out, but there were problems on the track, and they were unable to stop at Dortmund!! We got off at the next station, and had to scramble to get back to Dortmund. By then the game had already begun. We rushed to put our luggage in a locker at the train station, but they were all out of order!! Everywhere else we visited had great storage lockers. We noticed that they are planning to redo that station to modernize it, but the timing was bad for us. We had to drag our bags with us, so jumped into a taxi to get to the stadium at Signal Iduna Park. At the entrance, we sent my son inside, and his friend and I took his luggage. We were told there were some lockers over by the bicycle storage area, so went went over there. They said "Sorry they're closed." I sat and guarded the luggage while his friend went in to watch to rest of the game. It was disappointing, but at least he got to see the intermission and the second half. And, happily, they scored a goal in the second period and won the game!!

I don’t like dortmund.
I don’t like dortmund. I was on the other parts of the Germany like Karlsruhe and stuttgart and I like that part more. I believe the city is extremely dirty and nothing worthwhile to see. People are egressive. Be careful when you travel there.
The hotel is super nice and above my expectations. Firstly, the staffs are very helpful, kind and welcoming. Secondly, the room is very clean and also quiet. It provides everything you need. I quite like the en-suite style. Also, the location is very good and convenient. It’s 5 min walking distance to the central and also to the tube station. About 10 min to train station. You can also enjoy drinks on the top floor. I will definitely recommend this hotel if you come to visit Dortmund.
6 of us stayed in Dortmund for the Newcastle match. The hotel staff were great and accommodated us arriving late due to train cancellations. They were very helpful, and the hotel was really comfortable and in pleasant surroundings, close to a great bakery and the tram into the city centre. Christian and his colleague were superb hosts and made our stay very enjoyable, despite losing the football match. I'd definitely recommend this hotel.
This is an excellent hotel in Dortmund in a prime location next to the station and walking distance to the town. We arrived with the car and the parking is right under the hotel and costs Euro 13 per day. Check in was very friendly and we even got an upgrade. We have stayed in multiple hotels in Dortmund and this truly deserves 5 stars - value for money is top and the staff is helpful, attentive and friendly. Can only highly recommende
The hotel is just a beautiful as the pictures show - the entrance foyer and through to the other areas are all tiled beautifully with ornate pieces of furniture, making it something really 'unique'. My room was spacious, and very quiet. It had everything I needed. Staff were all friendly and approachable, as were the fish! It's in the perfect location for visiting everything in Dortmund, and travelling further into Germany.
The room I got was actually a two-room apartment divided into a bedroom and a living room with a table that could be used for work and eating. The shower room was also very large. The hotel is right next to the main train station and within walking distance of all the main sites in the city. I went everywhere on foot.
In the hotel description it stated there to be parking, which I preferred to put my e-bike in. The confirmation e-mail told otherwise. However I „parked“ my bike inside the reception / walk area to the elevator. Did not hinder anybody and made me sleep much better. All good in the morning.
The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable and overall I am extremely satisfied with the room. The best thing about this hotel is the location. You can see the German Football Museum and Dortmund Main station from your window.
Location was great in the centre of Dortmund and easy to reach. Great to have a car-park behind the hotel. Rooms were oke, and bar downstairs was good with Skysport. USB=-ports in the room were great for charging mobiles
A&O is a predictable cheap hotel. This is our third or fourth time here, and we always plan to stop in Dortmund, at A&O, because we know it will be just what we need. Pancake machine was much appreciated by children.

At no exaggeration!!!!!! Thanks 😊 everyone.
Nice Hotel very close to U-bahn and Dortmund center. So I could get very well around.
The room was clean and had discent amount of space, considering price and place.
