An amazing city, easy accessible for foreign travellers only that you may need to use Ailay pay app.
Visited zoo was very excited to see the Pandas. Only thing is the area looks very rundown considering these animals are a major tourist attraction. Some animals living in terribly walled cells super sad.

Chongqing was really a beautiful city, you can get the pleasant view of the buildings and the river itself. The food was delicious and the people was fun. And I was really lucky to have a friend over there so it was a really fantastic trip for me. The places I went were called Ciqikou, Hongwadong, Chaotianmen, and Shanchengbudao. These three places have a great view and as well as a great atmosphere which would make you want to stay there for hours! The food I liked there is called Wanzamian and Chuanchuanxiang. They are small pea noodle and a Chongqing style hotpot satay(you can look it up in the internet!). Anyway, I recommend you guys to try the hotspring over there in the winter. I hope this Corona Virus outbreak would end soon..... Would definitely visit again!

The architecture there are amazing.
The architecture there are amazing. It is very convenient to travel around with available public transport such as CRT and buses. 4 days are pretty enough if you just planned for tourist spots within ChongQing as all spots are quite nearby, about 30 minutes distance from spots to further spots. It is a foggy city hence night view will surpass day view. Also, can try to travel to some less mainstream spots.

A very lovely place to travel.
A very lovely place to travel. The scenery at night is very beautiful. I feel safe on the streets all the time. There are lots of choices if you want to go one to two days away from the city to get close to villages on the mountain, such as 武隆。

The city offers amazing views of the modern buildings from the two rivers. It is worth taking one of the night ferries. It is also interesting to visit some of the street markets full of food possibilities. I recommend also to visit the Dazu carving rocks, which are under the UNESCO list.
Don't leave Chongqing without trying the hot pot, a local dish that now is popular all over China.

Chongqing is a beautiful mountain city.
Chongqing is a beautiful mountain city. It houses many splendid historical, cultural and natural attractions such as the Dazu Rock Carvings, Ciqikou Ancient Town and natural view along Yangtze River. Hongya cave at night time when all the lights on it is very beautiful and lots of foods and bars. Besides these must-see attractions, Chongqing food is also worth trying as it is known for its spiciness. It also very easy to go around city by MTR and light rail.
The hotel was located just 2 minutes from Kaixuan Road Elevator and near Shibati area
the elevator closed after 10 PM and you'll need to take stairs to go down to the 1st floor to reach the hotel and it cost 1 Yuan to take the elevator
The staff was nice and eventhough they can't speak English, just ask via WeChat and they will happily answer it
The room itself was clean and I had comfortable night sleep, they provide curtains for each bed to keep privacy
You can find cute and playfull cat at the receptionist
I spent there only one night waiting for my train departure from Chongqing North train station. For this purpose the location was perfect. 5min walking distance to the station.
The lady at the reception was very kind and patient when I had problems with the local payment system. She was understanding and supportive. Good pre-arrival communication. Reception is sending detailed instructions how to use public transport to reach the hotel from the airport. Very helpful.
I would like to thank the staff for the wonderful hospitality specially YOYO she work at the front desk and the housekeeping Kate she work on 21 floor!!!
The Hotel Super clean and big rooms with a comfortable beds with amazing view to the Yangtze River!!
Hotel near by restaurants , supermarkets, food street and close to the downtown!!
Thank you Somerset for the great hospitality !!!
I stayed for the second time, the difference was that this time it was a tour. The hotel is located in a shopping center. The front desk will contact you in advance. Being early, the hotel offers a complimentary breakfast with traditional home cooked Chinese food that is very tasty. I preferred a room with a terrace so I changed the room type and it was as good as ever!
Rooms are very large, nice view to the river. Need to take Taxi as the city is very large and a little difficult to navigate you can easily get lost however you should be able to get a taxi easily within 1 or 2 minutes . Best if you download the ap DIDI Some staff spoke good English.
Breakfast was good had a lot of choices, staff are all very friendly and helpful
I came to stay here after seeing the recommendation of Lonely Planet. not a bit of disappointment. The owner is warm and hospitable it’s clean they all can speak English. it located in downtown area Jiefangbei. meanwhile They also have run a professional coffee shops. I had a best cup of coffee it’s best place to stay for me look a forward next time. see ya
The location is very good, the room was clean and beautiful and we also had an amazing view of Chongqing from the window! The staff was also very attentive and kind. I definitely recommend it. Just pay attention when arriving: the hotel reception is on the 8th floor of the building, and it may be easy to get lost if you don't pay attention to this.
The place was very clean and the facilities were excellent! Superb location for anyone wanting to go in and out to rest before heading out again. Close to subway and bus stops. Staff were helpful, helping to set up QR code for buses and recommending a bunch of places to eat/visit. Will definitely come again on the next visit to Chongqing! :)
An amazing option for staying in a huge city. In a city centre, very close to the subway station. It's easy to get to the main attractions from there. Room is clean, bed is comfortable, I got lucky and didn't have roommates(in a 4 beds dorm room), which honestly surprised me, because I think it's a decent cost-effective option in Chongqing.
location is the best in Chongqing (best shopping mall just downstairs, and walking distances to most of the tourist spots). And compared with the intercontinental hotel (just next door), it is half the price, and double the room size, and also has washer/dryer, which is a plus for travelers who are away from home for more than 1 week.
The staff was really friendly and helpful. They didn't speak English but they did their best to help me with any issues despite the language barrier. The facilities are also great and the room is comfortable. The hotel seems quite new, it's clean and the breakfast area is really beautiful!
The staff was extraordinary friendly and helped us with many things not even related to the hotel. For example, they helped us to buy online tickets for Chengdu panda resort where they had to call there several times to ask how, and make sure everything would work.
The location is walking distance from many popular tourist sites including Hongya Cave and the "Times Square" area. Our favorite part about the private room was that it had a nice balcony with a great view of the city.
The staff were very friendly throughout the entire stay. Since it was our first time in China, they helped us out as needed with daily tasks. I felt very well taken care of.
