The Hotel Campanile Martigny is a straightforward choice for a quick overnight stop, without any particular frills to report. If you find yourself there over a weekend, be prepared for a bustling atmosphere, especially in the restaurant. The entrance to the hotel offers a heady greeting with the pervasive aromas of frying and cooking, which might not be the most welcoming scent.
Lots of parking space in front of the hotel.
The reception operates efficiently, providing a swift check-in process, which is a relief especially when compared to the hotel’s elevator. Expect a slow ascent to your room, as the elevator seems to lack a sense of urgency, but it does eventually get you where you need to go.
The Hotel Restaurant La Porte d'Octodure is just 100 metres from Martigny-Croix Train Station and offers free private parking and free WiFi.

Good, comfortable, small hotel-motel near the Amphitheater and the sports park. We had a pleasant stay and enjoyed the sites. I highly recommend trying out the attached restaurant, which serves excellent Indian food.

We were stunned & delighted with the extensive Roman excavations & displays of artifacts in the museum. Also delighted with the Rodin/ Giacometti / classic car exhibition. Again delighted with the Da Vinci display which was as good as that in the Washington Smithsonian!

Lovely city; lots of shops and boutiques; lots of art and cultural activities including great impressionist museum, Roman ruins, castle and Barryland (traditional St. Bernard dogs museum). Tourist Info center very helpful.
The problem starts when I made a mistake for booking with non refundable option almost 8 months before travelling. Actually I like the hotel and location but the owner is very greedy and never accept my explanation which I prefer to have another option. Long communication with the owner for refund and never possible which other hotel can refund with good reason. I remind those who click for nonrefundable. Think twice. I will never come back again.
The Hotel du Stand is a 15 minute walk up the main street from the main train station Martigney but a shorter 6 minute walk if you catch the train onward to Martigney Bourg. The hotel has a small elevator making easy to get up to the other floors
We were able to get a pot / carafe of hot water from the cafe for our evening tea and morning coffee at no cost.
i love the view when i wake up! the garden in front is so beautiful... thick snow!
Kitchen appliances are so fully equipped.
I love everything about this hotel! room is so warm and perfect! thanks for the nice coffee packets.
even though i didn't meet the host, i communicate with him through whatsapp. he is very helpful and friendly.
The people in this family-owned hotel / restaurant were exceptionally friendly and helpful. For example, when the owner learned that we were going to the Fondation Gianadda, she gave us a limited-offer 50% discount card. We ate very well in the hotel restaurant – and we didn't even have the "menu dégustation".
The hotel reminded me of US hotels built in 60's or 70's, with big rooms and a big parking lot. It is not in the center of town so we used taxis when first arriving by train and thereafter frequent local bus 201. We could walk easily to the Old Town section, though, where we had dinner twice.
As vegans we are always weary when we stay at a small place (or even bigger hotel) about our breakfast choices. The host at the Villa was great and went out of his way to ensure we had an amazing experience with our breakfast. We are very thankful for his throughtfulness.
Secure parking for the motorbike with the offer of their private garage, beautiful hotel school, fantastic staff, great facilities, beautiful food, what's not to like. This was the best hotel of my trip by far, none of the others comes close.
The food, both breakfast and dinner, was superb. The coffee was excellent and the staff super helpful.
Excellent location for walking down to bars and restaurants and nice cobbled streets.
We used the hotel as a base for hiking nearby.
Very friendly staff. Relaxed atmosphere. Although we arrived late, they prepared us a cheese and meat platter with wine which was very welcome. We liked the ethos of the hotel which was described to us by the manager.
Great hotel, nicely decorated and excellent breakfast. We were particularly impressed by the inclusiveness associated with social projects. Congratulations!
