Innertkirchen is a quiet village.
Innertkirchen is a quiet village. The environment is great and there is a Coop in Meringen which is not far. But please note that all supermarkets are closed on Sunday. So prepare what you need in advance for Sunday.
When you reach The sign Jochpass, you have to follow a narrow road in the mountain suitable for just one car to pass (a hell of an experience XD). After 5 minutes of climbing you reach this wonderful hotel/restaurant where you can see amazing landscapes and spend the night listening to the sheep bells. The same road can get you to the lake Engstlensee a famous fishing spot in the region. The couple managing the facility was very nice and helpful and we even enjoyed a Jacuzzi with the kids.
The view of the mountain from our room was exquisite. This place has a lot of charm and the hotel staff was very helpful and kind. There's a fridge with an honor bar type situation. We paid for the beers on the way out. There's a bus stop close to the hotel that comes by once an hour until 6pm. The train station is just at the bottom of the hill, about 8 minute walk. I would highly recommend staying here in this small town on the outskirts of a more booked up Guttannen.
This is a traditional Swiss "pub" style accommodation. Basic room, shared bathroom, creaky floors. But you have a restaurant, bar and friendly staff. Good for a night after we had ridden the famous 3 mountain passes - this is directly on the junction of the Grimsel and Susten. Small village mainly a few more of these type of hotels popular with bikers. Parking opposite the hotel.
Nice hotel in the middle of the small town of Innertkirchen. We liked the friendly reception, the clean rooms and the close proximity of the Aareschluct which we visited prior to our stay. The shower was excellent, spacious and quick hot water with good pressure. Breakfast had a good choice of possible foods.
The hotel is in a wonderful location and the hosts are first rate. Guido has given us very good recommendations for things to do on each of our 3 stays there. There is a coffee machine constantly on the go and the views are breathtaking.
Very friendly staff. Food available at a reasonable price (for Switzerland). Great location for access to the passes. We parked our moorbikes across the road of the hotel which seemed secure enough.
Great location. Nice food at restaurant. Our room had two floors and the view from the window was great. Loads of activities around the hotel and it is just next to the train station.
Lovely friendly restaurant/hotel owner, we enjoyed an excellent breakfast and dinner, especially the bread and the goat meal. A perfect stay in a quiet, romantic, alpine environment.
At the end of the year, the Trycheln takes places in this village. This hotel is perfect to watch it.
Food was great and the staff was really helpful and friendly.
The hotel locate in peaceful village. The room was a bit old but clean and neat. Landlord was kind-looking. Breakfast was good. There were a lot of parking lots.
