FAQs about hotels in Brussels

Chocolate Capital of Europe

Brussels is well-known as the headquarters of many European institutions and is often called the capital of Europe. However, Belgian waffles, beer and chocolate are just a few of the city’s best-known delicacies that can rival its political reputation.

French and Dutch are city’s two official languages so all streets and landmarks have two different names: don’t be surprised when you look for Grand Place and end up on Grote Markt!

Don’t miss the famous bronze statue aptly named Manneken Pis or the futuristic Atomium, a truly unique architectural creation. Wandering through side streets to discover small bookshops, romantic cafés and ethnic restaurants reveals Brussel's charm.

Brussels is a real melting pot of Europe, filled with great museums and art from Memling, Bosch or Rubens, historic breweries and great concert halls. Shopping addicts can visit the world’s first shopping mall, the Saint Hubert Gallery, opened here in 1847.

If you’re arriving at Brussels Airport or South Charleroi Airport, all major attractions are just a short train or bus ride away. Whether you’re looking for a design hotel, a comfortable apartment or a friendly B&B, Booking.com has something perfect for your Brussels trip.

    Such a varied city.

Such a varied city. Architecture, attractions, shopping, food, entertainment. So much to do and I never feel like I have enough time, unfortunately I also never have enough money. Brussels is expensive for the traveller/tourist unless you know your way around and know where to go for what you want.

Brussels is a very walkable city.

Brussels is a very walkable city. This city is incredibly rich in history and legends. I would have loved to have stayed an extra day or two, but we only had two days to spare. There are several walking tours offered in the Grand Place, which is a site to behold in itself. My group wanted to do a beer tour and a chocolate making tour, but we just didn’t have time to fit everything in. Definitely an excuse to come back.

Our accommodation was great and only a short walk to the major sights of the old town, which is why we chose it. The sights around there were amazing the Great Market Square is gorgeous as well as the streets and architecture around there. We loved the apartment although no street view it was lovely and quiet easy to access and only a short walk to the old town which was great. We ate a lovely Restaurant in the old town where we had our first Flemish Stew which was very delicious. cant place the name but was on a corner. Lovley old building with a great feel and decore was of the old times. Staff were friendly and welcoming. We mostly walked everywhere because we were so close to the main things we came to see.

The location was amazing! Right in the center of everything and near the train station. The hotel is a block from the Grand Place and just a few blocks more from the famous "boy peeing" statue. Being so close to the train station made it so easy to explore Brussels and take day trips to other cities in Belgium. The room was fantastic as well! The room had a look of an old building with modern amenities. The bathroom was clean and spacious. The bed was so cozy and the room had air conditioning which isn't always a thing.

The room was very spacious and very clean. the bed was very comfortable. The shower was excellent with a great water pressure. One of the best I have seen in a hotel! I would recommend this hotel, conveniently located close to the De Brouckere metro station and the Grand Place. Touristy location, less of a business location but everything is easy to access in Brussels, so not a problem. Despite being located in a noisy area of Brussels, the room was very silent (no problem sleeping at night or focusing on work)

The hotel is on a family owned nice 4-story building. The rooms are nicely decorated. The owner Sebastian was super nice. He prepared cold water in fridge for all and served breakfast. He would even take order for breakfast, like eggs, freshly made orange or apple juices. The train we were on to Brussels was late. I even got a WhatsApp phone call from him to check on us. The hotel location is perfect. Walking distance to the grand place and metro. Numerous restaurants nearly. The stay couldn’t be any better.

Hotel is well located for the City Centre, close to the Central station and Metro/Tram stations, Grand Place and Shops. The staff are very friendly, approachable and helpful. The management style is refreshingly different and the ability to make your own drink or grab a drink from the bar (reception) and just chill in the reception area is nice. Was able to arrange a later check out time easily so I didn't have to hang around waiting for my train and could use my last day exploring the delights of Brussels.

We stayed in Urban Yard Hotel only for a night during our traveling from Bruges. The hotel is really nice, freshly renovated, and clean. Just bear in mind that it's not Belgian authentic if you are looking for something like that. It's near the train station Brussel-Zuid/Midi which for us was really important because we traveled by train from Bruges and also with Flibco airport shuttle, which also stops at Brussels Midi station. It is also pretty close to the center around 10 minutes of walking.

Reasonable selection of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Fee airport shuttle was very convenient. Carrefour and Lidl are nearby in case of snacks. There are a couple of restaurants and a few takeaways around as well. Overall we really enjoyed our time in Brussels and our stay in this hotel.

Room was clean, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Coffee, tea in the room, filtered water stations in the hallway so no plastic bottles. Good wifi, nice staff. The hotel is about a 7 min walk from Brussels Nord train station and a 10-12 walk from the Grand Place. It is a newer hotel so it doesn't have the character of an old building but it was a very nice room at a good price.
