I loved the location, close to the center yet not in a noizy part of the center. Evryone was so kind, receptionist and the staff, they all had smiles on their faces all the time. I loved it and i will surely return!

This must be one of the best hotels in Albania! Picturesque does not even begin to describe it. It is instagram heaven without all the queues. Located just about 1.5 hours from Tirana. We chose Shkoder as a stopover to the Albanian alps. We were two families travelling with young kids. They absolutely loved the pool and the surroundings. The pool and solarium are warm, there is a sauna and a jacuzzi. The staff are extremely lovely and accommodating. Breakfast is quite lavish with hot and cold options. There were fried eggs, sausages. Boiled eggs, cold cuts and salads. Lovely coffee, all included in the room price. Their dinner and lunch menu are extensive and will suit all palates and cater to vegan, vegetarian, gluten free etc.. I found their food and drink extremely reasonably priced and it must be a hot spot for lunch and dinner for the locals as on a Sunday it could be busy. The room itself was extremely large and comfortable. There was a fridge, hair dryer and you could use the towels by the pool. The beds were extremely comfortable and our room had air conditioning and a fan which we used as it was hot. Many thanks to Albi and Gerty for sharing local knowledge with us. We managed to tear ourselves away from the hotel to visit Mesi Bridge which is 30 minutes away. We had the loveliest and freshest lunch in a place called Cafe Murarti. Highly reccomend.

Lovely city, with a cafe bar atmposphere. Everyone is so friendly and do their best with English speaking to help. There is a relaxed feel to the city and nobody seems stressed out and in a rush.
The castle is well worth the visit and has stunning views. THe lake is also lovely to visit.
It is also cheap and better to eat out to enjoy the experience than staying in.

Great historic old town with atmosphere, shopping, and restaurants. The rest of the city is typical, and has all amenities. Very tasty restaurants in the area. Lots of transportation options to get you to the mountains, or neighbouring countries.

I loved the lake view we had from the balcony of our B&B.
I loved the lake view we had from the balcony of our B&B. Our objective was to relax, and we really did. It was an easy walk down to the lakeside where we were treated to many varieties of birds and even saw schools of fish coming near the shore to feed in the evening. The area around Bella Vista had a number of good places to eat and (in town) a broad walkway for strolling and bicycling. The roads weren't great, but otherwise the location was fabulous. It was a good base for exploring the Rozafa Castle, the Mesi Bridge, and other cities further into the mountains. Having a car was a must, as we didn't see much public transit.

I travelled in a few towns in Albania but Shkoder is my favourite. It’s so relaxed and easy to walk and has a great history. Abu baker mosque is so beautiful inside and outside. It’s the only mosque I visited anywhere in the world with so much natural light. The architect did a very good job. The huge cathedral is also impressive. It has a very beautiful wooden ceiling and simple coloured windows. The town like most of Albania is full of bars and cafes. The walk along the lake is a must and also visiting the fortress which has panoramic views. One strange character of this town is the dogs mostly sleeping everywhere in the streets during the day and noisy at night.

I didn't get the impression many tourists stop off here but they should try it. A very relaxing city, with many nice outdoor cafes etc. A good place to wind down, and great value for money. If you want to break up the trip between Tirana and the Montenegro coast or v/v this is ideal. Buses for Montenegro leave outside Rozafa Hotel, other side of the road, on schedule. Buses to Tirana leave every hour close to this at the roundabout just north.

The hotel is located at a great location to visit Shkoder. There is a paid parking just around the corner of the hotel, and the hotel itself is in the pedestrian zone of the city. For a city walk, the location is perfect. But for a castle visit, you most likely will need a taxi or, of course, a bike. Our room was very spacious and offered good air conditioning, which was really welcome. The rest of the hotel was really just OK. We did not really see the staff, neither did we really know what the expect as this was our first visit to Albania.
this is an excellent apartment.
1. the view is great. on a 9th floor looking down the whole city and mountains, feels great.
2. the place is very clean and very organized in great details.
3. the bed is comfortable and the kitchen is equipped with everything you need to call it a home.
4. the bathroom has a separate shower which is rare in Albania and awesome. If the shower curtain were 5 cm longer to completely block the water leaking it would be even better.
Our stay was perfect. We would definitely book this guesthouse once again :) Renato is a very friendly and helpful host, he renovated the guesthouse with a lot of love and made everything very authentic and atmospheric. We also got help to all the questions about Shkoder and our Albanian trip in general. The breakfast was also great btw :) Really-really nice 😊 Thanks a lot to you Renato and to your wife :)
Clean room and big beds. Breakfast was simple but great. Liked that the scrambled eggs were actually eggs (our hotel in Albania, so might be like this everywhere) and not the industrial stuff in western buffets. Really friendly and nice staff. We booked a trip to Lake Komani beforehand, but they were ready to help if you haven’t planned or booked your outgoing trips before coming to Shkoder.
Had an excellent experience! The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable, making me feel comfortable and at ease throughout my stay. Its location was perfect, offering easy access to the city's attractions and amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, adding a personal touch to my visit. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Shkoder!
Very nice and big apartment very close the old town and also to the bus station. The owner was very friendly, showed us everything and gave us many tips on what to do and where to eat in Shkodër.
The apartment is fully equiped, including washing machine and washing powder.
After checkout, we were able to store our luggage on the property and pick it up later.
The lake view from the hotel room was fantastic. Rooms are really spacious and warm (we were in December). Everything was clean and tidy. It was an average Albanian breakfast, i.e fried eggs and cheese. They served it in rooms and that was pretty nice. The owner Bledar is very friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend it.
Kurtabeg is a good choise for visiting The city and travelling to theth and Valbona. A very Nice hotel receptionist booked me on inexpensive trips to both places. Without her help visiting The Albanian alps would have difficcult. A Nice room with shower facilities and in The hallway a communal fridge.
It’s a really comfortable and friedly place. The shared rooms, like the restaurant, is a very nice place to be with all the green plants and very nice food, fruit drinks etc. Like so many Albanian people, the collega’s of the hotel were very nice and helpful to make your stay comfortable.
The host of the hotel was very helpful in providing us with useful information for our time in Shkoder. Everything was super clean.
The restaurant, which is included in the hotel complex, offers high-quality dinner options - definitely dine there in the evening!
Amazing place in an beautiful location, the best views in town. Very good restaurant with traditional Albanian food. The best of this hotel is the staff, very helpful and kind. The room was very clean amd confortable.
I really recomend this place.
The location is ideal, extremely central and also secure. Igli, the host, was welcoming and knowledgable and gave us a lot of help with booking our trip around Albania. Facilities were good including fast wifi, clean bathroom and comfortable bed.
The guest house located in the center of the old town, but the street itself is calm, we got nice breakfast in the garden, but the highlight was the owner himself. He gave us many tips regarding Shkodër and also Theth and Valbonë.
This was a charming hotel with an exceptional staff and breakfast. I’ve been traveling by bicycle for 2 weeks all around Albania and have stayed at 12 different hotels. This facility was the best that I stayed.
Greatest place to meet people not only in Shkoder, but maybe in all Albania. Amazing vibes, breakfast, garden, bar, staff, everything!
This is one of the 3 best hostels in Albania where I ve been so far
The property was great and centrally located. The room
was very clean and I enjoyed my stay very much. I will be using this hotel to stay for any future visits to Shkoder.
the hotel is very clean which was my top priority in
choosing hotel in shkoder. it’s modern built with
everything basic that you would need , breakfast
spread was fine.
